25.01.2022 "Mundi in Eumundi" We all love the Australian icon, the kangaroo, and the enjoyment of seeing public art throughout Australia. Tina Cooper at her Gallery in Eumundi has combined these with her passion for art in Eumundi and the promotion of local artists here on the Sunshine Coast. Being inspired by Malenys new streetscape public art where sculptures line the main street Tina felt that Eumundi needed a similar uplift which has already been started with the towns commitment ...to adding a new public sculpture each year. At her own expense she commissioned local creative chainsaw carver, Matty G, to carve a life size kangaroo for the front street front garden of her Gallery in the main street of Eumundi. She hopes to inspire all local artists, local children and visitors to release their creative juices and participate in beautifying Eumundi and their own lives. Creativity is the mother of invention and the more we use this part of our being the more productive and innovative we become. She has been heartened by the reaction to the kangaroo with orders for similar sculptures from a local gallery, the Artisan Gallery and from local art lovers. She hopes that Mundi will put a smile on everyones face and appreciate this Australian icon and what it represents, Australian Made. 10.01.2022 FANTASTIC RESPONSE TO SCYPHOZOA EXHIBITION! The Tina Cooper Gallery has done it again delivering excellence in creative expression through the artistry of glass.The exhibition was a great success enjoying repeat business from many collectors and visitors both locally and interstate. Apart from robust sales the exhibition inspired many wonderful comments such as... ... you are so life-affirming ... you definitely have the wow factor, it is unbelievable that this standard of work is accessible in the town of Eumundi ... absolutely amazing and exquisite CONGRATULATIONS TINA! Along with the exhibition opening on the weekend, Tina Cooper also received the Eumundi Australia Day Awards 2016 as Winner of the Contribution to Culture Award. This award is a recognition by Eumundi and district community of Tinas 27 years commitment as an artisan acknowledged as one of the leading glass artists in the world and equally for promoting a diverse number of local artists. 09.01.2022 Tina Cooper has been put back on that rollercoaster ride again. After a shock email came in that I had been put on a month to month lease and after many questions later a lawyers letter was received advising that the gallery building was on the market. That same week I was awarded a Eumundi Australia Day Award for my Contribution to Culture, it was a bitter sweet feeling! Then a friend saw an a half page advertisement that the building was going up for auction. I was gutted... as once again the artists get pushed on with no respect and support. I am also concerned about all the wonderful artists I represent in my Gallery and the interaction with the public with the live demonstrations Wolfgang does in his studio. What to do now ?? Luckily I have now sold my wonderful exhibition room that folds down to a 20ft container which you can move anywhere so as to cover the cost of our moving. We will still trade there until the first week of March. So now it is a fabulous opportunity to get that favourite Tina Cooper creation you have always wanted. Please help me reduce the amount of stock that I will need to move and store. Fabulous prices on selected items I have in the Gallery until we move in the middle of April 2016. We will still be online with stock and a small display at my appointment only studio/storage in Montville. Once we have closed in Eumundi we will be taking a well deserved rest to get over this bump. Wolfgang and myself would like to say many thanks for the ongoing support and please stay in touch as we still will trade for a couple more months and then, hopefully, have a well deserved rest. Tina and Wolfgang will keep an online presence and will be selling the remaining stock at their appointment only studio in Montville until we find a new space. We decided to go out in style!

03.01.2022 Well its our final two days here in Eumundi before we close our Gallery at 93 Memorial Drive. You might have seen us on Channel 7s local news through the week and in the following articles from the Sunshine Coast Daily and Noosa News. We will within a couple of months set up a temporary space for appointment only viewing and then still be looking for a more permanent gallery space in an art hub for the future. Keep watching this space for news on our movements and spaces. We will still have an online presence at my site www.tinacooper.com so if you see anything of interest there please contact me. In the meantime Tina will be having a well earned rest.
