25.01.2022 Autism is: Unable to speak, or maybe speaking too much Hugging everyone, or disliking touch Escaping outside, Or trying to hide... Excitedly flapping Inappropriate clapping Autism varies so much Wont wear a coat, or wears one all year round Fussy eater, or would eat dirt from the ground Screaming or humming Annoyingly drumming Toys in a line The same way every time Autism varies so much Struggling to learn, or has wonderful gifts Obsessions of numbers, trains, films or lifts Spinning around Throws things on the ground Constantly spitting Aggressively hitting Autism varies so much Alone without friends, or controls every game Always looks different, always dresses the same Swinging on doors Head banging on floors Freaks at the dryer Keeps climbing higher Autism varies so much. Cant answer questions, wont do as theyre told In their own world or bossy and bold Over prepared Anxious and scared A spectrum so wide But they all bring us pride When autism touches our lives. I support autism awareness Support, dont stare or ridicule, its genuine, and cant be helped. Support is welcomed, this could be any child, any parents daily struggle, but understanding and patience is a virtue . **It doesnt matter how old that child is either. I support autism awareness... always

17.01.2022 A big thank you to Xander for allowing Gaynor to try her hand at bottle feeding his pet elephant. We are currently making 36 bottles of milk per day for our babies - but unfortunately I dont think we have enough milk to raise Mr Elephant. You will notice that even Camerons Frill Neck Lizard tried your get in on the milk action.

14.01.2022 Yesterday we had the joy of witnessing something super special. Lynne is a regular visitor here at Rockyhill who comes in a wheelchair with her carer Kalo. Lynne is able to walk very short distances, but normally only at home - but not yesterday. Lynne chose Rockyhill to strut her stuff! And she did it with style. Carer Kalo on the left and Rockyhill volunteer Jo on the right. Lynne walked the longest distance than she has in 25 years!! But not just once - she just kept goi...ng. Her wheelchair became a stationary seat. Lynne we are so super proud of you. Thank you for showing us what pure determination, courage and strength can accomplish.

12.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE - Sunday 30th August 2020 When we opened Rockyhill Therapy Farm only 11 short weeks ago, we have a pipe dream of one day entering in the Maryborough Open Gardens. Well we put out heads together and decided - lets just do it this year! The Maryborough Open Gardens is a fantastic, fun filled event giving locals an opportunity to share their love of gardening and the outdoors - an to even get some inspiration from. With Jo scratching and digging and planting and d...esigning, and putting in 10-12 hour days in the garden, we are now putting the final touches in place to open our newly established garden and our farm to the community. Not only will our garden be open for viewing, but we will also be opening the therapy farm for everyone to see our gorgeous animals, and what our sessions entail. On entering the farm yard, we are asking for a gold coin donation to assist us with the costly exercise of resurfacing the yard to allow for better wheelchair access. Rockyhill will have various plant, produce and craft stalls on site, as well as light refreshments available. So come and join us at Rockyhill Therapy Farm on Sunday the 30th of August 2020 and see what all the fuss is about. https://maryboroughopengardens.net/tinana-south-rocky-hil/

10.01.2022 Everyone of us have own unique quirks. Some of us are very vocal n loud. Some of us are unpredictable. Some of us have ticks. Some of us have unexpected jolts. Some of us just sit. Some of us want to wander. What ever your quirk is ... you are one of us. Solo just wants to roll around with her head in a bucket. Apologies for all quirks are not expected or required. Our animals are all non judgemental and dont give a moo. (Or a baa or a neigh..... you get the picture).

Come out and try your hand at feeding our new baby lamb and goats. ... There are certainly still many casual appointment time slots available.

02.01.2022 Everyone is in attendance for this mornings staff meeting. Just not sure if everyone is actually listening!!

02.01.2022 It is with much sadness that we have had to withdraw from the Maryborough Open Gardens this year. This weeks COVID-19 directive from Queensland Health makes it logistically impossible for the community to attend our property. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, but watch this page because we have an open day on the horizon. Stay safe everyone.... Gaynor & Tracey

02.01.2022 Gretchen (right) and Brian (left) Gretchen is a fat tail lamb who was abandoned by her mum after a fox attack. She was born the 3rd of June and arrived at Rockyhill when she was a young 4 days old. After being treated by the vet, she settled in quickly claiming Gaynor as her mum. She is a fun little soul and can often be seen bucking like a bull as she walks. Brian is a dorper lamb who was born on the 25th of June. He is a tiny little fellow weighing only 3kg. Brian was a twi...n who was rejected by his mother. He has settled in very well with Gretchen by his side. These two little babies are both bottle fed and drink their milk extremely quickly which is very funny to watch.

01.01.2022 Not really sure what to write for this post....... Any suggestions????

01.01.2022 Today I received some beautiful gifts from a beautiful lady. Thank you Kristy I absolutely love them. You are very thoughtful.
