23.01.2022 Our biggest heartfelt thanks goes out to the ever generous Craft for Paws Fundraising Inc. We are a baby charity run by 3 sisters in our spate time (between full time jobs & families). We do our best, but the challenges of communicating with another country alongside challenging attitudes of Aussies that struggle to connect with the stories of the township is a real battle. Tin Can Town Aus is not a huge organisation but the little that we contribute is SO life changing fo...r the animals. Our biggest supported since 2016 has been the kick ass women of Craft For Paws. They have raised enough funds for us in this time to vaccinate and worm close to 400 dogs and cats!! With distemper and parvo running rife in the area, this is an amazing number of waggy tails. Please support their page & cause so they can continue to help baby, local charities like ours.

The sad reality of most animal’s lives, who live in poor informal settlements, is that while we all take a break over Christmas, th...ey don’t have that luxury....every single day is a fight to get decent food , a fight against parasites and a fight to survive another day..... We try every day to help these animals have a better life and to have access to medical care when they desperately need it...and in order to do that we can only ask for the help of people with generous hearts like our amazing supporters. We are still paying off our huge vet bill and although that is our main priority now, we CAN NOT neglect our service of providing primary care like deworming, tick&flea treatment and mange treatment to these animals. Without these MANY more animals will suffer from a big parasite burden, Mange, tick bite fever etc, which can result in severe illness and/or death . ...after all ‘prevention is better than cure!’ So that is why we are humbly asking for help from our supporters in order to afford all the necessary supplies for our next upcoming outreach please. Without help we won’t be able to afford to help these animals Outreach supplies are the following: Deworming for puppies, kittens, adult dogs and cats Frontline spray for puppies (for ticks and fleas). Dip for the bigger dogs (for ticks and fleas and Mange prevention) Mange treatment for the severe cases of Mange Cat and dog food.
