23.01.2022 Hi everyone, Some honest customer came into the Shire building a few days ago to hand in these glasses. They were found between the Freebairn Recreation Centre and the golf course today. They are prescription glasses. Does anyone have an idea who they might belong to?
22.01.2022 The perfect place to stretch your legs, view wildflowers and enjoy Kulin’s natural surroundings. The 3km walk trail allows you to wander through Kulin’s natural surroundings all in the close proximity of town and the Kulin Caravan Park. Visitors and locals can get up close and personal with a few of our famous tin horses as well as spot a variety of wildflowers along the way. The compacted gravel trail starts at the Freebairn Recreation Centre and then leads you around the ov...al and Kulin Golf Course. Look for the start of the trail at the yellow Tin Horse Highway sign at the entrance of the Freebairn Rec Centre. The trail weaves its way along the side of the road passing two tin horses. Next, it takes a left turn after the golf course and leads you through two gates - it comes out at the 5th hole fairway. It then joins an existing trail behind the 6th hole tee box which heads back towards town alongside number 8 fairway. It finishes at the Kulin Tennis Club. See more

16.01.2022 Have you walked around the dirt track that goes around the Kulin golf course? A great walk for spotting wild flowers and for kids to explore.
13.01.2022 We’ve Been Horsin’ Around The TIN HORSE HIGHWAY near Kulin hosts a collection of community art which reflects some great imagination and good humour. It began... as just a couple of tin horses to promote the local races and has transformed over the years into Western Australia’s quirkiest highway. From tennis star Fillypoosis to Mare Grylls and of course Rocky the Italian Stallion the horse-related wisecracks gave us a good chuckle (so punny ). It’s all an effort to promote the annual Kulin Bush Races and that event is now firmly on our radar for next year The tin horses are dotted along over 15km. Willow was very patient and without much NAGging he generously obliged to pull over repeatedly so we could take it all in. He did score the best laugh of the day however when Ally was swooped by a territorial magpie. Standing by the roadside with the camera to her eye, she didn’t see it coming at all and quickly raced back to the cruiser for cover... and cackles of laughter from the rest of us TIP: there’s a great free camp in the town of Kulin itself. It’s right beside a park with clean, modern facilities including hot showers. Now giddy up, we wanna know which horsey design is your fave? Australia's Golden Outback | ABC Perth

In an effort to boost visitors to Kulin during wildflower season, let's get behind this free campaign by submitting any sightings and photos of our beautiful wildflower/ bush flowers and create a trail of 'pink flower' symbols for visitors to see while travelling around our region this Spring.
