23.01.2022 A little shift round in the gallery and some new paintings of the river by John

20.01.2022 An opportunity to buy a work by Su Berghuis-Garde . This pastel drawing on Fabriano archival paper was done over 25 years ago, and has been in the care of a Mel...bourne family. A note about the work. Chalk pastel was my favourite medium for about 20 years. They are artist quality , fine pigment, and retain true original colour over time. I have not been able to use them for the past 20 years, regrettably, as I loved the process of layering, but found the dust was affecting my skin. All good when sealed behind glass! So really it's a style of drawing I can no longer replicate. The vineyard was Amberley, in the southwest of WA, now also renamed. So I guess it's just a little piece of the past The current owner is wondering if any Melbourne friends may be interested in it. It can also be freighted anywhere in the world. The sale price is $500, its original cost. Freight is extra Private message me, Su Berghuis-Garde, if you are interested

06.01.2022 This was 6 years ago. So very much has changed It's quite emotional seeing these photos and acknowledging the energy that makes Tinkahill happen.... It's almost 3 years since we left that enormous studio /gallery space in Dunsborough and leapt back into life in Bridgetown. Our current space is tiny in comparison, but I'm very much aware that any art space, large or tiny , provides a refuge, a relief, a release from worldly matters... Surrounded by , or immersed in creativity we have the opportunity to slow down and reconnect with aspects of our deeper selves. A healing space A heart opening space. It explains why I can have the most magical conversations with friends and strangers who come in and sit for a while. As artists we understand this, and I am grateful that for me there was no other choice in life but to create.

05.01.2022 Today is the last day of BLACKWOOD RIVER ART TRAIL. If you have the chance , take a wander through your town... Bridgetown Nannup Greenbushes Balingup and spend some time with the artists and their art. It will remind you of what's possible when we take leaps of faith with no awareness of the outcome. It might remind you of the way you used to feel when you held a crayon or a brush in the primary school art room. There 's some exciting work in this tiny region!
