25.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has liked the page ..... here are two cool things about Tocumwal. 1. Tocumwal is named from an Aboriginal word meaning "deep hole" referencing the granite blow hole north of Tocumwal which has been a permanent source of water and a meeting place for thousands of years. 2. Tocumwal was a major air base during the second world war housing over 5000 troops, many of them from the USA.

17.01.2022 *** Upated links which disappeared overnight Have had internet problems today but that's ok because it's probably as a result of all the extra people who were in town for the Rally for Water. Fantastic turnout! Tomorrow I will bring you community groups but here are a few more businesses. Please feel free to tag any others. March's IGA Tocumwal - a fantastic supermarket that supports local producers and shoppers. Have a look at the murals on the front and rear of the store.... Tocumwal Florist - for gifts, plant and flowers. Rusties Hairdressing and Lush Unisex Hairdressing - grooming for everyone. Chrissie's Book Lounge - coffee, food and books, the perfect combination. McCormacks Cabinets - kitchens, cabinets, fitouts, these guys have your joinery covered. Miss Daisy - that special gift or treat for yourself Tocumwal butcher, bakeries, takeaway food, restaurants, hotels, motels, post office, fuel outlets, newsagent, caravan and tourist parks, specialty farms and much more. 05.01.2022 This week we will focus on Tocumwal a pretty little NSW town of approximately 2200 people and countless kangaroos, koalas, cockatoos, corellas, wrens, magpies, kookaburras and other wildlife. Tocumwal is situated just 2.5hrs north of Melbourne on the Murray River and boasts more sunny days than Queensland and 25 sandy river beaches with coo-ee of the town. Each day this week I will bring you businesses and attractions from Tocumwal, so stay tuned. 02.01.2022 Tocumwal Businesses. 2. Barefoot Boutique Kate sells beautiful clothes from lovely brands including Thomas Cook, and caters to women and men. I'm fairly sure the shop is Tardis related because there seems to be lots more inside than should reasonably fit without some sort of space / time muck around.
