It was such a knowledgeable training and we will definitely be implementing it through our curriculum to help our children understand that they each have a right to be safe from harm and to feel safe also.

10.01.2022 Eid or "Festival of Breaking the Fast" is celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. At TinyBeez today, children in each room participated by making something for afternoon tea and as a centre we sat and had our "feast" together to celebrate the end of the fasting month. Our educator Shaz took time to explain to us what the month of fasting signifies before we ate. Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating

09.01.2022 Dear Families, As part of our sustainability journey, we focus on monthly goals and network with the community to gain more knowledge and ensure practices are embedded. Our sustainability officer, Kerry, researched and got in touch with City of Stirling regarding the Container Deposit Scheme. TinyBeez has now signed up to network with City of Stirling for state-wide container deposit scheme that allows us to cash in eligible containers for a 10 cent refund while recycling eli...gible containers (cans, bottles, liquid paperboard). City of Stirling has provided us with a secure bin with a blue lid. It is located next to the white bin in the car park. Attached is the information on eligible containers that can be placed in the secured bin. Money raised from the refund will be used to support sustainability programs with the children in TinyBeez. We thank you all in advance for supporting us in providing a more sustainable future for the children.

07.01.2022 NEW COVID-19 UPDATE Dear Families, We have heard the news about the outbreak of COVID-19, so far, we have not received any new advice from ECRU nor any other governmental body whether to close the services doors of TinyBeez for the next five days. ... As this has happened before and they have asked us as an essential business to remain open, we are assuming this will be the case again. We will follow our strict policies and procedures in order to keep our community safe. From tomorrow, all educators will be required to wear masks and we would like to encourage parents/family members to wear masks also. We do not expect our children to wear masks. If you or your child are showing any symptoms, please stay home and get COVID tested. We will require medical clearance upon return. Should there be any further news, we will update you soon. May we all keep calm, healthy and safe!

05.01.2022 Wishing everyone celebrating a very Happy Eid with lots of love and blessings!

02.01.2022 Right now, the system is failing children with developmental vulnerabilities and putting them at long-term risk. Our more sensitive kids just need a little longer to develop the social and emotional competence needed to transition into a formalised learning environment. Each child grows and develops at a different rate. Some children need more support and time than others and so we are behind this petition in the hope of Mark McGown steps in and ensure legislation is been followed and children do not go to school too early. If you too want to help protect our children, please take a minute to sign the petition below.

02.01.2022 Diwali 2020: Today we engaged in many different activities to celebrate Diwali which is the Indian festival of lights. The children made Rangoolis ( an art form, in which patterns are created on the floor or the ground using materials such as coloured rice, coloured sand, quartz powder or flower petals) and their very own diyas (oil lamps). We enjoyed curry with rice and papadum for our lunch and had Indian music throughout the day! Happy Diwali!

01.01.2022 TOY & BOOK APPEAL Last day this Friday (27th November 2020) This year, TinyBeez is hosting The Smith Family’s Toy & Book Appeal which is your opportunity to help bring a smile to a disadvantaged child’s face this Christmas.... What we need? Donations of NEW, UNWRAPPED toys and books. Toys can be battery operated but please include batteries with the donation. Attached are some suggested ideas. Why? Sadly, thousands of Australian children will go without receiving a gift this holiday season simply because their families can’t afford it. Your generous support will help children in need to acquire the skills and knowledge they need to build a better future and help them to create a sense of belonging this Christmas. During this pandemic, the children and families Smith Family supports remain at the heart of everything they do, and more than ever before, it’s so important to help them end 2020 on a brighter note. With your help, The Smith Family is aiming to support 32,550 Australian families with children living in disadvantage for the 2020 Toy & Book Appeal. This is also a wonderful opportunity for us to share with our children about giving. When? By the 27th November(Friday) How? Please drop books into the basket in the reception. Let’s keep the Christmas spirit alive and the joy of giving back! It has been a tough year for everyone but one small toy or book from everyone would make the world of difference to so many disadvantaged children. Thank you in advance from the TinyBeez Team!
