23.01.2022 Time for me to say goodbye to all my Tiny Explorers What an incredible honour it is to have been able to play such a special part in their journey! So grateful to all the parents who have taken me in as a part of their family and to all the children who have won a special place in my heart forever! I have absolutely loved sharing our adventures through this page and connecting with other educators and parents I will miss you all greatly Xoxox
21.01.2022 Connections are so important in Early Childhood and creating friends makes our days so special
20.01.2022 Unfortunately I have had to make the extremely hard decision to close Tiny Explorers however my own family has to come first and this decision was made for them I will miss it all so much but especially the children! If you are a Family Daycare Educator in the Peregian/Coolum area then please contact me so I can pass your details to my families

18.01.2022 Reflection is a strong part of a Family Day Care business and I’ve been working hard on improvements to make the experience even better for my children and families! BIG changes coming soon to Tiny Explorers!
18.01.2022 Physics disguised as bucket racing
18.01.2022 Extending on our favourite book right now and exploring science! This book has amazing language that I can use when scaffolding during learning and the children are free to experiment without fearing mess!!! It look like me made pink clouds in there There is heavy dirt at the bottom
17.01.2022 Another fantastic item building our fine motor skills, donated by one of our families! Today has been an emotional day for a couple of our little ones so this is a lovely activity to help work through those feelings

12.01.2022 Lots of discussion today about things that sparkle so we created a sparkle art piece! It was a great opportunity to show the children we can revisit an art piece to add different mediums later if we choose!
11.01.2022 Excavating dinosaurs from the ice today!
10.01.2022 I wish you could have seen the looks on their precious little faces when I told them they wrote a real story I used prompts such as when, where, what etc, however all of the descriptive words were theirs and the sentences were their own ideas. I cannot wait to extend on this next week
10.01.2022 Very excited to be back after holidays and ready to play
08.01.2022 Some colour mixing fun today before we paint! I’m rebuilding and recreating the art area, being completely intentional about each item that’s added! I absolutely adore the soft light that falls in this area all day long creating a calm and peaceful creative area! Make sure you swipe right to the end to see the name the girls chose for their purple
07.01.2022 Duck pond excursion So many amazing things to see within our local community this morning!! We found ducks and crows and water Lily’s! We picked wildflowers and chased our shadows! We said hello to neighbourhood friends and even got a wave and horn beep from the postman
07.01.2022 Competence in children is often overlooked. However, given the opportunity and the right environment, they will continue to show us just how competent they are. Byron is not even 2 yet. He was able to communicate that he wanted to use the tables and once I moved them, he used the large loose parts to create his own roads and tunnels on a large scale for the trains.
07.01.2022 The children created their own tunnel today using the bridge and a hula skirt from the dress ups! Isn’t their imagination incredible?
07.01.2022 The excitement is real!!!!!! Tiny Explorers will be quiet over the next two weeks while I’m on holidays! I look forward to getting back to play and learning when the school term starts!
06.01.2022 I always love to see the reactions of the children when they discover the small world setups! Their imagination is so much bigger and better than mine and their play can last a significant amount of time! I always aim for at least 2 hours uninterrupted outside play each morning!!!!!
06.01.2022 Animals are a strong interest at the moment and today we are using the projector to explore different animal habitats and environments! Adding the animal shadows in has extended their learning even further!
05.01.2022 On cold and rainy days, we snuggle and read hundreds of books. Some days it’s so good to slow right down and just spend the time together
05.01.2022 I love watching how activities and play evolve throughout the day! What started as pasta threading has ended in scooping and pouring and packing
04.01.2022 Anybody else??? Bet you are singing it now
04.01.2022 How amazing is this cooler weather!!! It means so much more uninterrupted play and exploration outside! Today we spent a reeeeeaaallllly long time with some dropper process art
