25.01.2022 Last year 2020 began for me, with a sense and vibe of 'plenty'. Whether we believe in vibes or not, it's really our intuitive senses without words, that are primal and have evolved through our survival and thriving history. What I didn't realise nor know was, plenty of what? Reflecting now, it was plenty of everything, changes, adaptability, compromise, upheaval, plenty of massive unpredictability, fears, anxiety, heartache. All that make up life and death, but all rolled int...o one in a massive hit. What are your vibes for this year 2021? Here, it feels like a sense of calm, switch, some stability, roots and sustenance. Perhaps last year has drawn out the core values from deep within us. Life is short, Honour yourself, those you love, and those who love you. Perhaps its cleaned out the fluff and revealed the essence of what is true. Perhaps chaos is rearranging itself into a new seeming order, this year. On that point, is there anything you'll like to see more of this year, dear tealover? My plan is to source out more beautiful Oolongs for you this year, a couple of blends being worked on at the moment (including another Hormonal Blend), and trying out some amazing teas from Ceylon, straight from a family farm. Will keep you posted. If we could travel this year, I would be heading to some farms in Japan, Taiwan and Sri Lanka. Soon Please, share your thoughts and insights. On your vibes and teas! 24.01.2022 Time to leave well we got our ocean, mountain and wildflower fix for this season! When you're a business owner, a break is never really fully a break, phone calls and msgs to ensure all continue to run smoothly, but thankfully with Chris' efficiency at the Nannup end, I could still relax quite a bit. Some people feel at the end of a break, the dread of returning to the grind. Interestingly enough, I've noticed I don't get that feeling. 19.01.2022 Picked up this awesome old teaset from an antique and collectors' fair last weekend. Old, genuine, tells a story, and of course I have to christen it! Often many are unaware at why eastern teawares are so small, almost likening it to toys for kids. Reason being the ritual of Tea is delicate in the Eastern culture. In a practical sense, Eastern teas are to be brewed with more rounds and shorter steep times. Hence we use smaller teawares to turnover each brew warm and fresh. ... Steve and myself took Elaine out for her first experience of orchid and wildflower spotting. Such a special day, nature bathing and soaking in the little beauties of nature among birdsongs.
