25.01.2022 Thank you to all our wonderful families who have donated to our "your trash, my treasure". We received so many donations in just two weeks that we were running out of storage space. We were amazed at all of your generosity and we should all be proud for the smiles we will bring to many children's faces. Today we donated to ARMIA.... ARMIA is registered with the ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission) as a charity to benefit refugees, migrants and asylum seekers by advancing health, education, social or public welfare and culture. We had representative for Councillor Kim Marx come and collect the donated goods. the children were so excited and helped pack all the items into the car.

12.01.2022 We have had parents come in and read their child's favourite story to the class recently. Parents involvement in classroom have always been encouraged, and the benefits we could see were for example: Better engagement of learning experiences for their children... Feeling better about themselves and about school (for the children) Having more access to success and to build up their good social skills (for the children) So if you wish to join us and to build up a strong network for our child to grow, please come forward, and spend some lovely time with us. I believe the children will definitely enjoy your company! -Miss Sue "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." -Dr. Seuss

04.01.2022 Your Trash, My Treasure Our New Goodie Box While spring is approaching, I believe many of you will be busy doing some spring cleaning, and decluttering your houses. If you have any unwanted junk (e.g. gifts that you received that dont match with your taste nor t into your house), please bring them to us, and put into our new Goodie Box. The reason for this invitation is that during our Red Nose and Pyjamas day on 7th August 2020, the children in Zebras Room have exp...lored that there were some children in poverty and/or in foster care that needed help dearly. Those children didnt have a home to go to, a new toy to play with, or a proper meal to eat. So, during a group discussion regarding what we could do for them, Zebras children suggested that we could help them where we could nd them some new toys and good food. We cherish those good characters and kindness that we saw in our children, and we wish to promote them more. By bringing the ideas into an action, we showed kindness and generosity in front of the children, and helped them to become an active community member. By teaching our children the value of giving rather than taking, we are installing in them a sense of pride and high self-esteem, so they learn to practice self-mastery and remain virtuous as they grow. At the same time, all together, we will make the world a better place for everyone to live in. Gift boxes have been set up in both foyers for any of our families to donate, we appreciate all your help :) -Miss Sue

01.01.2022 Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood. Fred Rogers
