23.01.2022 The kids dont like being too hot or too cold so on days like today we go outside to play.. bubbles teach child: cause and effect hand-eye coordination shapes and imaginative play.. ... Child take away different skills from certain activities.. its important to give them a variety of experiences to learn and develop!

19.01.2022 Im sorry guys that I havent done anything with my Facebook page! In the past 6 months since opening I have changed a few things around.. I have changed the outdoor kids area The play room The sleep room lounge room area ... We decided to give the kids some more grass area to play ball games, obstacles and tennis.. they also now have a covered deck area to do activities. We are planning on putting a roof on the sandpit/kitchen area when it comes into the warmer weather.. the lounge room area I set up daily for specific activities such as yoga, blocks, craft, painting, etc. We do weekly excursions for the children to get out in their community and learn through different places we attend: playgroup of a Tuesday with Windermere play dates with other educators in the area library or music park excursions, etc See more
19.01.2022 A few set ups for this weeks program.. This week I have focused more in imaginative and creative play as children have been spending so much time in front of the tv, iPads, games and such.. Plus with the current situation going on its a good idea to encourage and build safe play spaces in which they can explore and evolve.. Imaginary play happens when children use their imaginations to create pretend and make-believe scenarios. You can get involved and help them develop these skills.. let them control the play! Remember to not add too much to the play space, it can be overwhelming which we dont want!
19.01.2022 This is what a typical day on the plate looks like for the kids.. the almost 2 yr old I look after ate the capsicum and tomatoes off her afternoon tea plate before I could get a picture! Lol.. for morning tea we sometimes bake something but today they werent interested as it was 2 of the 3 kids first day back after 4 weeks off I wanted to make it affordable for my parents and a daily fee of $5 is charged.. Each day is different.. some days we have eggs for lunch, home ma...de pizza, meat, sandwiches and bakes.. The children can choose the fruit they would like each and each child will have some of each of the fruit that is chosen.. Im lucky most of my kids eat everything.. breakfast is always changing.. I have different cereals, oats, toast, pancakes and muffins they can choose from.. its important to give them a range of different healthy foods and still giving them little treats.. our treats are home made always as I know whats going into them.. Even when I child doesnt like something still place it on their plate as it encourages them to eat it.. some days they may feel like trying it again as their pallets change from time to time! 13.01.2022 When they say no indoor playgroups, libraries, play centres.. well.. we are taking turns on our jumping castle! Burn some energy!
10.01.2022 When the UV is way too high and the children love water play so what do we do? we bring it inside.. In the tubs the older girls wanted fairies and jewels.. the younger ones got rocks and sea animals.. Along with a little glitter and bubbles Water play has many benefits .. Motor skills ... Water Play gives many opportunities to develop fine and gross motor skills across age ranges. Children will increase their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through actions like pouring, squirting, scrubbing, stirring and squeezing Language development Imagine the discussions you can have asking what they are doing Social and emotional growth Water play releases energy, it can be both invigorating or relaxing and calming for young children Problem solving Water play allows children to explore a substance and make discoveries about it. Each child likes to learn differently and giving them experiences to learn and grow in their own way is important to me as an educator!

07.01.2022 Outside play for us this morning.. very sensory and creative! Added some balls and cones for the kids to set up their own obstacle coarse.. While the weather is beautiful and we have had excursions and incursions cancelled for the foreseeable future we are going to go crazy but at least we will have fun ! Lol
06.01.2022 2019 was such an amazing year with all the families and children.. I want to make 2020 a year of more learn experiences and for the children to have a place where they feel they belong and feel at home! So I my husband and I made a space where we could still keep it our home but also a child friendly environment.. At the front enterance the children have a place for their bag, they will find their photo and special hook. In the bathroom the children also have a special hook ...and photo that is theirs for their hand towel! In the front room is our quiet room where the children can go to calm their mind and read.. The playroom has changed around.. this is the fun room! The room has more charts and posters for the children to learn as well as a place for imaginary play and creativity! This space consists of a cubby, doll house, tables for activities, market/kitchen and blackboards. Finally we have made the lounge room into a zone that is open play, we do yoga, arts and crafts, obstacles and floor time Outside we have altered the cubby house/fort into a place for imaginary play with a bridge, bell, telescope, steering wheel and sandpit.. We have added a veggie patch for the children grow their own veggies and I am able to teach them about sustainability.. coming soon will be a compost for the children! Looking forward to a 2020 with my beautiful children and wonderful families.. thank you husband for all your hard work these parts 4 weeks of holidays (hard work) lol
01.01.2022 Thank you to all my families this year for their support and love.. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! X
