We experienced our busiest ever 90 minutes!!! Secondly, to those of you who were unsuccessful in getting through via the phones, were very sorry for any inconvenience. We believe it to be in the best interests of all of our stakeholders, the greater good and provides us with the best chance of returning with minimal hinderance. Secondly: We will be returning, all things remaining/improving the way they are, on Thursday 7th of May. 06.01.2022 Hey People, Like all other businesses we are implementing some measures over the coming weeks to ensure the health and well-being of our employees, customers and their/your families. As of today, until the 28th of March, we have implemented the following:... - Mandatory expectations of stricter hygiene procedures of all our staff; - Our toilet facilities are reserved for the use of staff only; - A request that personal space of staff and fellow customers be exercised at all times; and - Our trading hours have been reduced to 5pm - 9pm every night with final orders to be placed by 8:30pm. While we desire your patronage, we respectfully request, if you are unwell or showing any flu-like symptoms, that you refrain from visiting our store or utilising our delivery services. Doing this should ensure that we can operate with as minimal an impact to our services for the remainder of this month. From the 30th of March, the following will be implemented: - We will be trading Friday & Saturday nights only, maintaining the trading hours already implemented; - Access to the store will be reserved for staff only (order over the phone and we will distribute orders directly to your car); and - Should deliveries be continued, no face to face interactions to be had between drivers and customers (TBD). The decision to trade only 2 nights a week is based on a multitude of factors, peak trade, interruptions to supply chains as a result of factory workers being isolated, and limiting exposure to one other. While these convey what we consider our ideal scenarios to be, whilst acknowledging the realities of the situation, the following are some examples of what may likely occur to derail these: - any staff showing flu-like symptoms will lead to a closure of the store for a minimum of 14 days (effective as of today); - Government enforced mandatory closure of eateries; and - Government enforced mandatory quarantine if the outbreak gets severe enough. We trust you all understand that these are necessary for the health and well-being of the general public and demonstrate our preferred plan of action, based on the current advice/recommendations provided by authorities. These plans may be altered, depending on how the situation develops and we will keep you all informed as developments become available.
