25.01.2022 SAND ANGELS GOLD COAST. Youve gotta be flat on the beach, and youve got to wave your arms and legs as if youre flying like an angel for 30 seconds. The current record of 1,387 sand angels is held by Michigan, USA, and they dont even have a stunning ocean beach front like ours.... Locals of all ages are encouraged to get down to Kurrawa Beach at 6am for registration, with the record attempt scheduled to take place at 6.40am. The event is also a chance to raise funds for Aussie farmers and rural communities in need, with gold coin donations on the day to support Drought Angels...... So here we were at 6am, on the sand flapping at 6.40 .... and we smashed the record making 1620 sand Angels (although we still have to wait a few weeks to make it official in the record books... Here I am with bubbly Moyra and on the beach flapping!!! .... and my sand Angel ...

23.01.2022 Nothing like walking through a forest to escape the heat... Spotted a pademelon.... Pademelons are small marsupials of the genus Thylogale. They are usually found in forests. Pademelons are some of the smallest of the macropods. The name is derived from the word badimaliyan, from the Dharuk Aboriginal language of Port Jackson.
