19.01.2022 Somewhere nestled in amongst the genres of soul, hip hop, rnb & reggae lives a lad by the name of Joshua Matheson. Growing up in the eclectic township of Bellingen, his musical upbringing involved attending music festivals as a roady and playing in the church band, and at 19 he began performing solo & band shows up and down the East Coast of NSW and he... has never looked back, lucky enough to do what he loves for his living. He has shared the stage with the likes of Guy Sebastien, Kirk Pengilly (INXS), Donovan Frankenreiter, and played shows alongside Wolfmother, The Preatures & The Black Sorrows among others Performing both solo, and under the guise of LTTLE KNG, Josh’s music is a mashup of hip hop, soul, rnb & reggae, both originals a nd covers, building his songs from the ground up looping digital drums, bass lines, keys, synths and guitar, overlaying a myriad of organic and electronic sounds to blend with his crisp vocals. Drawing influence from artists like Chet Faker, Tom Misch, Joh n Mayer & Fat Freddy’s Drop, he has a super fresh vibe that can resonate with people of all ages and musical tastes.
