23.01.2022 Ok All, where else do you know that you can go in Ipswich, Brisbane, Queensland or Australia that you can have a Twilight Market Experience whilst watching free movies at a Drive-In??? Tiviol Twilight Market will run fornightly from Saturday 17th September from 4pm - 8pm. The Tivoli Drive-In shows movies every Saturday night. Looking forward to seeing you all there.....Ruth

Source: Quest Newspapers A combination of movies and markets is set to be a tourism drawcard in Tivoli. Organiser Ruth O'Dowd said the regular Saturday morning markets were not attracting crowds in the family-oriented area. ... ``The site backs onto the drive-in movies, and it was free to attend, so we thought it would be such a drawcard to combine the two,'' she said. The event was reborn this weekend as the Tivoli Twilight Market Bazaar, with families perusing the stalls then watching A Bug's Life and romantic comedy Jumping the Broom. ``I don't think there is anywhere else in Australia where a market backs onto a drive-in theatre,'' Ms O'Dowd said. ``We will have a lot of local people come but the plan is for it also to be a tourist destination, and bring more people to Ipswich.'' Ms O'Dowd said it was a dog-friendly event, with a dog groomer included in the market stalls. ``We find a lot of markets, such as those on school grounds, can't allow dogs. But for a lot of people their dog is very much a part of the family,'' she said. Ms O'Dowd said the twilight concept would be trialled as a fortnightly event, but could become weekly if visitors and stallholders liked the idea. Ms O'Dowd said the market stalls ``cater for all tastes'' with fresh produce, handmade and pre-loved items, jewellery, and more - although hot food would only be available through the drive-in cafe.
