12.01.2022 Although we have had a terrific sign on so far for the uncoming season it sadens me to report that 12 of our sign on signs have been stolen from various locatio...ns around Boonah and Kalbar. It may seem like nothing but for a small club it is a significant loss. Who would steal from a junior club. It has been reported to the police and it would be greatly appreciated if the signs are recovered. 12.01.2022 We have had a fantastic sign on so far, with one of our biggest ever groups starting Auskick last Thursday. We have heard a few people may be waiting to see if ...we will have teams in their children's age groups before registering them. Due to the great numbers we have already, we are able to confirm we will be entering the following teams this year: Roy's Junior Footy Program - 2 teams - the first time we've entered this age group since 2014! Under 8 Under 9 Under 10 - the first time we've EVER entered full teams in both Under 9 and Under 10 Under 11 girls - our FIRST EVER all girl team Under 11 (mixed) Masters We still need a few more players in each age group to fill our teams. If you're holding back, please register your children as soon as possible, fee payment is not required until just before their first game at the end of April. Registration is particularly needed for those turning 11 or 12 this year as we require 15 children on the field in this team and really want to get them all on the field! *Auskick payment is required online at registration. Registration is also required for Roy's Junior Footy Program asap - we need to confirm teams by this weekend for fixturing to be completed. No one will miss out on playing in a team, but we need to confirm the number of teams we have - currently two, we are not limited to how many teams we can put in the program. If you're not sure whether you registered your child to participate in this program, please get in touch to check. 08.01.2022 New smoke alarm laws now apply in Queensland New and substantially renovated homes are now required to have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms in all bedrooms, in hallways where bedrooms are connected, and on each and every level of the residence. This applies to homes where building applications were lodged after 1 January 2017. Requirements for other homes will be phased in over 10 years. Interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms will be required from:... 1 January 2022 in all homes leased and sold 1 January 2027 in all other homes. To comply with the new laws homeowners can install either hardwired 240V smoke alarms or non-removable 10-year battery smoke alarms. However, any existing hardwired 240V smoke alarm must be replaced with a hardwired 240V photoelectric smoke alarm. The installation of hardwired 240V smoke alarms must be performed by a licenced electrician. In existing homes, it is possible to have a combination of smoke alarms, which can be 240V or battery operated and interconnectivity which can be both wired and wireless.
