05.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Founder - our Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Mentor and Friend Robert Leighton. 58 years ago Robert returned from his honeymoon and had 5 pound, a vehicle and a homemade crane (pictured testing it out) from those beginnings he grew his own construction and engineering business, over the years evolving to today. Robert W Leighton Pty Ltd, founded in the late 60’s is the company behind Leighto...n Springworks and TJM Tasmania. Robert’s funeral will be held at Franklin Grove, across from Leighton Springworks - TJM Launceston at 2.30pm on Thursday 16 July. Our Launceston store will be closed on Thursday from 1.30pm. A live stream of the service will be conducted by Finneys for those who cant make it but wish to attend, to obtain a link please email [email protected] before 10am thursday.
