25.01.2022 King Edward Memorial Hospital is one of WA’s most valued institutions, so I am delighted that a Harvey Liberal Government will allocate $500 million towards a replacement for it, as part of the Liberals’ Five-Year COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan. In addition, we will commit an additional $60 million for a new Maternal and Child Health Research Fund.

25.01.2022 It's disappointing that it's taken so long, but the State Government has finally released the Draft Swan Valley Planning Scheme. I encourage anyone with an interest in the future of the Swan Valley to read the Draft Scheme, and submit their feedback here: https://consultation.dplh.wa.gov.au//draft-swan-valley-pl/... You have less than one month - feedback closes 14 November 2020.

20.01.2022 COMMON SENSE NEEDED ON SWAN VALLEY PLANNING I urge Planning Minister Rita Saffioti to carefully consider the details of the Swan Valley Planning Scheme. In its current draft form, the scheme could prohibit the expansion plans of businesses and have a detrimental impact on the region’s tourism potential. The imminent passing of the amended Swan Valley Planning Bill could see the scheme being gazetted as early as next week, despite inadequate stakeholder consultation and uncert...ainty over permissible land uses. The message I have received loud and clear from business and the community is that consultation on the draft scheme has been piecemeal, and that even the City of Swan has not had a meaningful role in its development. Of great concern to me is that the table of permissible land uses within the draft scheme appears to prohibit world class wineries from expanding their business operations to deliver tailored accommodation, events and other retail experiences which would establish the Swan Valley as a tourism drawcard.

19.01.2022 The Liberals Plan for More Shopping Choice on Sundays will allow shops to open from 8am on Sundays, instead of the current time of 11am. This means that Sunday retail trading hours will align with Saturdays so that trading hours become a consistent 8am to 5pm on weekends and Public Holidays.

16.01.2022 A Harvey Liberal Government will provide West Australian households and small businesses with the opportunity to shop around for cheaper electricity, like they can for gas, under the Liberals Plan for Cheaper Power Bills. Providing choice of electricity is expected to benefit more than 1 million households and over 75,000 small businesses, who will receive the same choice for electricity currently enjoyed by big business and government departments. Our plan will give consumer...s a choice of electricity supplier, like they have with gas, which returns discounts of between 35% and 45%. Find out more here: www.waliberal.org.au/cheaperbills

15.01.2022 Great to see this announcement today - $36 million to boost recreational fishing initiatives in WA, including a commitment to protecting Cockburn Sound.

14.01.2022 It was an honour to attend the Naval Association of Australia Perth North Sub-section's Remembrance Day ceremony in Wanneroo. Lest we forget. (Pictured with Jack Le Cras OAM, President of the Wanneroo RSL Sub-Branch, and Philip Couper, President of the Whitford Lions Club.)

10.01.2022 I was delighted to be accompanied today by Korean War Memorial Committee Chairman Bill Munro and Co-Chairman Jin Kil Lee to announce our funding commitment towards a Korean War Memorial at Kings Park.

04.01.2022 West Australians deserve to have certainty regarding our border reopening, especially with Christmas less than three months away.

04.01.2022 I'm proud to be part of the Liberal team committed to addressing one of the most serious issues confronting our community.

01.01.2022 The Premier must fully explain the rationale for WA's ongoing hard border. West Australians deserve to know.
