20.01.2022 Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs that reduce stomach acid production. Compounded formulations of omeprazole are commonly prescribed as oral aqueous suspensions for the treatment of gastric reflux in young children. These suspensions require a basic pH and low temperatures to prevent chemical degradation.
