20.01.2022 Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs that reduce stomach acid production. Compounded formulations of omeprazole are commonly prescribed as oral aqueous suspensions for the treatment of gastric reflux in young children. These suspensions require a basic pH and low temperatures to prevent chemical degradation. If your compounded suspension changes colour this may indicate the Omeprazole is decomposing and may not work as intended. There are 4 a few potential reasons contribu...ting to the degradation. 1. The manufacturer 2. The supplier 3. The Pharmacy 4. The excipients. If you are having problems with your child's Omeprazole suspension please talk to our Compounding Pharmacists.

19.01.2022 Same applies to compounding medicines, please call our pharmacists if you need any assistance.

17.01.2022 It's Red Apple Day for Bowel Cancer Australia! Help us to fill Facebook with red apples today to raise much needed awareness and funds for bowel cancer. Bowel... Cancer Australia's apple logo is symbolic of the charity's bowel cancer message: bowel cancer is treatable and beatable if detected early. The outline of Bowel Cancer Australia's apple logo appears as an abstract of a human bowel. The small hole in the apple is caused by a worm. If detected early and removed, the worm is unable to continue affecting the apple or the health of the tree. It's the same with people. If bowel cancer is detected early it can be successfully treated in 99% of cases, which means patients and their families can continue to enjoy a healthy life. A highlight of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, Australians are encouraged to support the vital work of Bowel Cancer Australia this Red Apple Day (Wednesday, 17 June), by purchasing a virtual Bowel Cancer Awareness Ribbon, hosting apple themed fundraising activities or making a donation. Help save lives by updating your profile picture and sharing this message with your friends and family for Red Apple Day.
