15.01.2022 In collaboration with Parrtjima Australia - A Festival of Light 2021, three carriages of The Ghan have been spectacularly transformed into a work of art for its... journey through the red centre of Northern Territory Australia. The artwork by Aboriginal artist Chantelle Mulladad has turned the train into a moving masterpiece, and to complement this there is an amazing immersive light installation lighting up the inside of one of the carriages, providing a taste of what's to come as part of the festival. Running from the 9th to 18th April in Alice Springs, Parrtjima A Festival in Light activates the desert landscape of Central Australia into a meeting place of old and new, where the festival utilises the latest technologies to showcase the oldest continuous culture on earth. The external wrap was installed by the team at SignageWorld using 3M IJ40 and 3M 8508 Overlaminate and Clear Focus EconoVue for the windows. An incredible transformation and a fantastic result! The 3M IJ40 series is a gloss and matt clear intermediate vinyl with a clear permanent adhesive and a double side PE coated kraft liner. IJ40 has excellent print surface with high quality and durability, and easy sliding and repositioning making installations a smooth process. Ideal for everyday sign and display applications, short or medium term indoor or outdoor graphics, and partial vehicle wraps on flat or simple curved surfaces. Suitable for Solvent, Eco-Solvent, UV and Latex printing. Clear Focus EconoVue is a 160 micron black/white monomeric gloss PVC film, with a clear pressure-sensitive adhesive and universal liner. It has 1.5mm hole diameter perforations, and is ideal for short-term promotional graphics. You can expect up to 2 years outdoor durability. EconoVue is ideal for mass transit vehicles with short-term promotional campaigns. The film has 40% perforation and 60% vinyl space - meaning printed graphics are more vibrant, and less heat enters the window reducing air conditioning expenses. Suitable for Screen, Eco-Solvent and Latex printing.
