24.01.2022 We've updated our coffee machine this season and of course there is always cake! Made an apple pie and an apple and rhubarb pie this week as our grader driver is here and it's his favourite!

22.01.2022 We have had a bucket load of rain overnight. I'm guessing the road will be closed but will confirm once we talk to the Shire. If you are in Laverton please stay put until we update.

20.01.2022 The time has come again for Al and I to say our goodbyes. We are off to spend time with family and friends on the East coast. We've been away since 2011 so really looking forward to it! Please give a big warm welcome when you are in next to the amazing new team, Sandy and Adrian. (and their beautiful doggie) Sandy and Adrian are very experienced managers and are looking forward to putting their own stamp on the place once they settle in. 15.01.2022 The Road is closed from Laverton to the Shire Boundary due to recent heavy rains. Please check with Laverton Shire for road updates.

15.01.2022 We have had confirmation the road is closed, and to be reviewed tomorrow morning. We had 40mm here at the roadhouse last night. While this is traditionally our wettest time of year anyway, this takes us to over 185mm for the year already. Our yearly average is 300mm.

12.01.2022 The road remains closed but I have asked Laverton Shire to have another look at it as the Police were through this morning and conditions are good. At the moment though, it is still CLOSED. Will update as soon as I hear anything
