13.01.2022 We had the opportunity to take a few of the boys from ESHS Clontarf program and camp out for a few days at Qaugi Beach. The purpose of the camp was to teach the... boys a few dances and connect them back to country. As part of the dance element, the students had to perform the dances learnt on camp in the community. Since the camp the boys have performed several times in the community and it has been received with overwhelming positive feeback. We are sure this will become a much sort after dance troupe for the community. Ensuring we are actively sharing and teaching our next generation will build a stronger future for all.

11.01.2022 Not Free = Papua is finished Korindo Group has destroyed 57 thousand hectares of Papuan forests in Boven Digoel since 2001, according to an investigation conduc...ted by Forensic Architecture and Greenpeace Indonesia, broadcast by the BBC yesterday (12/11). That's just one company, another? The data shows that there are 85 oil palm companies that control an area of 2,153,484 hectares in Papua. Not yet counting 83 logging companies that control forest areas in Papua covering an area of 13,334,260 hectares. There are also 25 industrial plantation forest companies that control a forest area of 3,700,000. Also 3 companies managing sago forest products that control sago hamlets covering an area of 129,000 hectares. 15 sugar cane plantation companies control an area of 487,912 hectares. Meanwhile, around 240 mining companies are exploiting Papua's soil. The total area of land confiscated by indigenous Papuans for mining was 9,110,793 hectares, with 5,932,071 hectares in Papua Province and the remaining 3,178,722 hectares in West Papua Province. Every year Papua's deforestation rate tripled; from 2000-2009 an area of 60,300 hectares. 2009-2013 covering an area of 171,900 hectares. In 2013-2017, it increased by an area of 189,300 per year. This is the data from the Pusaka Foundation, Greenpeace, and Forest Watch Indonesia. That is just a capitalist crime against the environment and land grabbing. If you look at the rate of death of Papuans every day compared to the rate of immigration of immigrants to Papua and control of the Papuan homeland, then of course Papua is on the verge of destruction and destruction. It will not be stopped. This corporate crime occurred in the era of Special Autonomy which was said to be for protection, partisanship and empowerment. The reality is reversed; it protects, takes sides and empowers the thieves and criminals of the environment and humanity of Papua. In the era of Otsus that was the case; unable to protect Papuan land and people, West Papua will be even more devastated under the Inpres for the acceleration of Papua development and the expansion of Papua which is strengthened by the Omnibus Law which will provide wide access to massive exploitation on Papuan land. A handful of bureaucratic capitalists in Papua, from the governor, regent, military police and BIN, who forced the continuation of the Papua Special Autonomy, were of course only aimed at continuing colonial and capitalist crimes. Their consciences were covered in lust for money, position and honor in colonialism. It's animal instinct; like a dog obeying only the master who holds the bone, not truth and love. After all, it is difficult to convince the fly that flowers are more beautiful than trash. Those who have a human and environmental conscience, let's save people and this land by fighting for independence. That's the solution. Because fire cannot be put out with fire; oppression breeds resistance! Victor Yeimo

01.01.2022 Always Was Always Will Be. As a Yorta Yorta person this means alot , given our peoples heavy involvement in the resistance movement in the 1930s that NAIDOC w...as originally born in. This has impacted us drastically directly to this day where upon where after the Day of Mourning Protest in 1938 which included many amazing Yorta Yorta mob led to our people deciding to walk off the mission in 1939 which resulted in the large present day population of our mob in Shepparton- Mooroopna where I was born, raised and have recently returned to live. My great great grandmother Nora Nicholls (pictured) was the last woman to deliver baby's on Cummeragunja at the time which includes many of our elders still with us to this day. It's always such an evocative thing to think of. And be grateful of how our mob stood up to challenge the shackles White Australia was trying to put on us. It's any wonder many of us Yorta mob can't help but be resistant to the assimilationist drives and wants of the system . It's a core part of many of our identity's and how it was formed. It Always Was and Always will be
