07.01.2022 Just come off an awesome photo shoot with James from James Pyne Photography. When he told me to set aside 3 hrs, I thought but this is just a headshot how much time can you possibly spend in getting this right . Little did I know about the very engaged process James is going through from trying to understand what I'd like to communicate in the shots, the coaching behind small aspects and adjustments to posture, how your thoughts impact the outcome and how you can go from e...xpressing fun to authority in a heart beat. What an experience James wasn't always into photography. In fact he left a successful and rich career behind that saw him working for Bang & Olufsen as a Showroom Manager, Senior Sales Consultant for VIP clients and as a mentor to newer team members with less than 10 years experience. Understanding peoples needs and ensuring these are met via B&O's strong customer centric focus always felt natural for James given he enjoys the interaction with people. The love for photography was born out of helping his wife Tanya from Mobile Makeovers Hair and Make Up take pictures for brides and her entourage and the feedback he received on shots taken meant there was a new career in the making . James invested more and more time into this new found passion often times burning the midnight oil on studies . Most recently he traveled to Italy with the Canon Grand Master Photographer Yervant Zanazanian to learn and hone his craft. More than 3 years on James Pyne Photography has come a long way in capturing lasting moments on stills of personal portraits, small children, families and corporate settings. His ability to positively impact peoples lives continues on and he vividly remembers a recent photo shot of two sisters - Sophie a very outgoing girl and performer and her sister Charlotte the opposite who was a bit on the shy side. By the end of the photoshoot Charlotte was a changed girl and the father of the girls sent James a letter a few weeks after the shot thanking him and stating the Charlotte was a much more confident girl now. What a great experience!
