17.01.2022 2019 #Bondi2Brighton Day 8 highlights - we did it! We rolled out of Warragul this morning to visit our major partner @TLC Aged Care Forest Lodge. We had a lovel...y time speaking with the residents and hearing some wonderful stories and met CEO Lou Pascuzzi. We then pulled into the cycling cafe in Mordialloc to regroup for the final leg to Brighton where we were greeted by family and friends and the Dementia Australia community. After celebrating with a traditional glass of bubbly we were proud to present @Dementia Australia CEO Maree McCabe with a cheque for $210,000 which officially brought 2019 Bondi2Brighton to a close. Just shy of 1,200kms ridden by the 28 riders, supported by 8 sensational event crew. Thank you to our supporters and to everyone who has donated to our cause and helped us get to Melbourne. 17.01.2022 TLC Primary Care's nurses attended a workshop with the Australian Practice Nurses Association. This is a part of the program Chronic Disease Management and Healthy Ageing. Our nurses are enrolled in this course that runs over 12 months and includes several online learning modules on the most common conditions seen in general practice. Upon completion our nurses will be certified Chronic Disease Management Nurses.

12.01.2022 We did it! TLC is the first residential aged care provider of our size to complete the vaccination of our 1,500 residents, and 2,000 staff and contractors against COVID-19. TLC is the only aged care provider in Australia that has been approved by the Department of Health to directly administer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Our aged care homes are now amongst the safest in Australia.

General Practice experience is essential and experience working within aged care and in chronic disease management will be well regarded.
