12.01.2022 WOW! Last night we finished Holistic Voice workshop series 4 - another awesome group of singers from choruses throughout Western Australia! So encouraged by Marie's (Voices of the Vasse) words: Slowly in my "brain" pictures are developing which change my way of "seeing" my vocal cords & help me to sing with another awareness: by thinking while singing about where the vocal cords are situated and the way they function, make me open my mouth to let them free... with less obst...acle & a better sound. It is not anymore a grey, unknown space as I learned now how they move/act. I feel I am more in control with them and understand more the relationship between vocal cords, "words" and sound result. 08.01.2022 You know, the stress is worth it in the end! Enjoying wine and canapés at Intercontinental! This time tomorrow, will REALLY enjoy them when my paper has been presented, I will have chaired four sessions and sat on the end of day panel at Australasian Voice Summit!
08.01.2022 TLC Voice is about to release a 5-week Holistic Voice series of interactive workshops (via Zoom)! Stemming from workshops presented to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts students, this initiative will enable those who love to sing and/or are professional 'voice users' to learn about the Anatomy & Physiology of the voice. "I wanted to feedback to you that Music Theatre and Acting students have learnt SO much from your Holistic Voice sessions. The uploaded video... demonstrations of how the larynx functions have been brilliant!! Hats off to you for your excellent teaching. You have worked wonders!!" Luzita F. The course will be available for individuals to register. Details will be posted in the next few days! This series can be presented in a format for music leadership teams and/or whole choruses/choirs via Zoom. Greater awareness of the how to produce resonance and vocal quality and the physical components utilised. Session 4 led on from this with fascinating explanations regarding articulation and acoustics. All sessions however have changed my approach to how I sing!"
