25.01.2022 As the gradings coming up I just wanted to thank the class for the solid effort theyve been putting in throughout the year. The strength and effort has been noticed by Sensei and you have all made him very proud. We still have a couple of events to look forward to, such as the Wollongong camp next weekend and Waterfall training on Sunday the 15th of December. Family and friends are all welcome to attend the waterfall training and I hope to see you all there!

21.01.2022 Congratulations Fairfield Dojo students on your gradings! We had many students awarded their well deserved new belts and certificates today. I would also like to say a special thanks to Shihan Glenn Stephenson, Sensei V and Sensei Phill Gibson for all their support today.

19.01.2022 An update given today's announcement from Scott Morrison re Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19): I won't repeat what you have probably received from other organisations and from generally keeping up with the news. But in terms of how it applies to us: On the one hand it is important to stay fit and healthy to ensure our immune system can fight a virus, so we will continue karate classes, which improves fitness, for now. On the other hand we will do this in a sensible way. So:... Any student who is sick should stay home until they are better. any student who has travelled from overseas must not attend training for 14 days after their return to Australia. And in addition, we have implemented some further measures. We have introduced sanitising gel / wipes for all students to use before and after every class. For the time being, we are modifying some partner work in class: i.e. no sparring, and no partner drills where there is close contact. But there is still plenty to learn with focus on basics, combination drills, kata, fitness work etc. And we will review/ revise this policy over time as the advice changes. Please contact me if any questions or concerns.
