25.01.2022 Banana & Walnut Bread Preheat oven to 165C 1/3 cup coconut oil... 1/2 cup maple syrup 2 eggs 3 bananas mashed 1/4 cup milk of choice (whisk wet ingredients well) 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon (ground) 1 tsp vanilla extract (add to wet ingredients and whisk together) 1 3/4 cups of flour of choice 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (gently stir into wet ingredients) Place in oven and cook for 55 to 60 minutes #stayhumbleandfocused

22.01.2022 TMA Veterans Hour CrossFit TMA is proud to introduce this weekly one hour long event beginning Wednesday 11 November at 1100h. The hour is an open invitation to any ex-service men and woman of any Australian Military Service. Sessions are run weekly alternating Wednesday at 1100h and Saturday at 1100h. Sessions are capped at 10 persons so register your interest quickly. ... We’ll be talking mindset and mindfulness, working out together, having a laugh, sharing an opportunity for open discussion and anything else that might be well regarded on each day. We are hoping to raise some community spirit for local veterans and provide a safe space for you to unload, make safe and rack your body armour CrossFit TMA is a veteran owned business run as a partnership. Our Head Coach Zak Rogers is a proud veteran of the 1st Battalion RAR. His experience in the Army has taught him a lot about mateship and support. He knows too well that feeling a part of something bigger than you are is something a lot of veterans miss after service. Hence the founding of the TMA Veterans Hour allowing local ex-service members to get together, share some suffering during a workout, talk about their past, current and future mindset and find new mates in it all. The program is completely FREE and anyone wishing to attend MUST REGISTER each week before Tuesday 1100h (the day before). 20.01.2022 Raspberry ripe bites 1 1/4 cup shredded coconut 1 tbs rice malt syrup (or other liquid sweetener) 1 tbs coconut oil ... 1 tbs coconut cream 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen) 100 g 85% dark chocolate (can be sugar free, vegan ect) Line tray with being paper Add all ingredients (except chocolate) in a processor and blend until just combined Roll mixture into balls and freeze for 30 mins Melt chocolate, remove balls from freezer and roll them in the melted chocolate. 19.01.2022 Lemon coconut slice Base - 12 mejool dates - 2 1/2 cups dedicated coconut ... - 1tbs almond butter - 1tbs coconut cream - 1tsp vanilla essence - Pinch salt Top - 2cup macadamias - 1/3 maple syrup - Zest and juice of 1 lemon - 3tbs liquid coconut oil - 1tsp vanilla essence Method: - Line a 20cm square cake tin with baking paper - Put all base ingredients in a food processor and blend to a fine crumb. Press the mixture into the base of the tin. - Place the macadamias into a food processor and blend into a paste. Add cinnamon, vanilla essence and quick oats and mix until combined. Cook in a frypan over low/medium heat until golden. So easy, and they can be frozen if you make a large batch. 10.01.2022 Chocolate raspberry protein muffins Ingredients: 1/2c coconut yoghurt 1c coconut drinking milk ... 1/4c coconut oil, melted 3 eggs 3/4c coconut sugar 1 Tbsp maple syrup 1c self-raising flour 1c buckwheat flour (both flours can be substituted for any one you have although the macros will be effected) 60g chocolate protein (I used True vegan protein) 1/2 cup cacao powder 2 cups frozen raspberries Optional: 1/4 C hazelnuts Method: 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan forced. 2. Whisk together all wet ingredients and the coconut sugar in a large mixing bowl. 3. Stir together the flours, protein and cacao powder in a medium mixing bowl. 4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry today and mix until well combined. 5. Fold through the frozen raspberries. 6. Spoon into 12 muffin cases and sprinkle with hazelnuts. 7. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until when inserted, a skewer comes out dry. Makes 12 Per Serve: - 290 Calories - 46g Carbohydrate - 9g Fat - 10g Protein TIP: I’ve also frozen half to get out for next week #tmatreats #cftma #stayhumbleandfocused

03.01.2022 No bake bars Ingredients: - 1tbs coconut oil - 1/2c rice malt syrup ... - 1/4 tsp salt - 1 tsp vanilla essence - 1c quinoa flakes (for GF version) or rolled oats (non GF) - 1/2c shaved coconut flakes - 1/2c almonds chopped - 2tbs pumpkin seeds - 2tbs sunflower seeds - 2tbs goji berries (or other dried berry that you prefer) Method: - Line rectangular brownie tray - Preheat grill - Place quinoa (or oats) coconut, almonds, and seeds on a try and toast for 5 min. - Pour toasted mix in a large bowl and stir through the goji berries. - In a saucepan heat rice malt syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and salt. Bring to the boil for 4-5 mins the mixture should be gold and thick but not burnt. - Pour mixture over the dry ingredients and stir through. - Pour into the tray and flatten. Place in fridge to set and cut at room temperature. - Swap nuts for 1/2c pumpkin and/or sun flour seeds #stayhumbleandfocused #iamtma #tmatreats

We spent the weekend doing an active scavenger hunt which included: squatting boulders, climbing hills, climbing trees, squats, walking lunges, plank, dead hang/ pull ups/ muscle ups and many more. ... WOD: Over It On the 2.00mins x 5 10 Broad Jumps 20 Jumping Lunges 100 M Sprint #legs When we talk about functional movement at TMA, we talk about moving a large load, a long distance, relatively quickly. Or relative to the athlete. Today we used the #deadlift to achieve that stimulus, and what an awesome workout our athletes got! Using the E2MOM format ensures athletes are adhering to rest protocols, achieving the desired volume, and of course keeping class on track. #timings Today we emphasised the push through the floor with feet. 01.01.2022 Blueberry coconut lemon ice cream bites Base: - 1/2c pitted dates ... - 2/3c almond meal - 1 tbsp almond butter - 1 tsp vanilla essence - Pinch of salt Top: - 1/2c macadamias - 1/3c coconut cream - 2/3c frozen blueberries - 1 tbsp maple syrup - 1 tbsp lemon juice Method: - Line a muffin tin (small) with patty pans - Blend all base ingredients together until combined, press into the muffin tins - Blend macadamias into a paste, add in the rest of the top ingredients and blend till smooth - Pour the top ingredients into the muffin tin and place in freezer to set. - Garnish with lemon zest #stayhumbleandfocused #iamtma #tmatreats
