09.01.2022 An over day, An over success at starting the Moki. Needed a few flick as I ran it down all the way yesterday. Did 41 mins of running today, between low to mid ...to 3/4. Restarted 5 time all in 1 to 3 flicks, even cooled down. Adjusted the prop to 29.6x 18 and it still revs very strong. My rpm metre is done so could not check rpm, but will do this week and will install the RPM telem ASAP. Its pulling strong on the ground that is clear, 30 kgs easy which I am happy with, will measure it next week too. I fitted some HT silicone on all exhaust connection, still have a wipe of burned oil coming of Cyl 2 head the rest is all dry :-) Now, I need to change the left aileron servo that is not good enough to fly, and some tidy up in the TH linkage. This plane is slowly growing big on me, now next WE I need to be in a position of taking off and certify the beast. Its nose heavy landing gear out, will check again landing gear in. Al the light are on the green, and holding pressure nicely, again more check to be done with radio on and gear in but on the bench....it need to be leack free in all position as I need to keep the pressure on at all time while flying, the gear do not lock in or out, which is why I am running a fail safe pressure on the gear! 08.01.2022 Sometimes shit just happens. Ripped the retracts out and smashed them up. Ripped the bottom cylinder out of the moki. Smashed the cowl and fuse. So glad I crashed on the hard road instead of the soft cane paddock. If you need me, I’ll be down the shed......for a while
