23.01.2022 All we can say is WOW!!! The Mightyboy is not failing to disappoint :) Sunday night we lost headlights and got towed into camp just before dark. We fixed the lights that night ready for the next days adventures which didn’t take long!! 2 smashed rear shocks at the last half of the day and trailer into camp again. Like a true warrior the lads in triage fixed the mounts and wait for it .... today the starter motor has gone!!! But our lil Boy is still powering on running like a cheap Balianise Rolex :) Our Buddy group didn’t escape also with blown tyres, holes in a fuel tank and rear shocker problems....We are having a Blast!! Just hit Mt Isa and some much earned KFC!! #shitboxrally #awesome !!!

19.01.2022 Its been a bit quiet at Team MightyBoy lately as the reality of every day life has settled in... but there is still work to be done. We are just waiting on a lead of another wrecked Mighty Boy which may be purchased for some much needed parts. We would also like to thank one of our younger fans - Hayley (Who's Mum and Dad is Team Bucket List) for creating this awesome drawing of our Rally Car! Thanks Hayles!

15.01.2022 Yay finally both boys are home! But the work is not done yet. The Mighty Boy needs new rear shocks , new headlights and adjusting screws and some wiring attention, while the VL requires a new fuel tank, new front apron, headlight mounting screws, a new horn button and front struts... It will give us something to do before next year though :) Enjoy these outtakes from The Rally and be sure to check in for other news and updates soon Cheers!
15.01.2022 Introducing the car 'LEAST LIKELY TO MAKE IT' in 2018 Tell us about the car Scott Rankine? "We did everything possible to get the 1985 Suzuki Mighty Boy on the ...road without having actually driven it much and when we did get to drive it we lost ALL brakes heading up the Freeway in the Adelaide Hills!! The Mighty Boy needed stacks of work, the seats were stuffed, the passenger door didn’t open and required replacing, the exhaust was shot, the tyres were bald, the seatbelts were frayed, the seat mounts were snapped, the indicators and headlights didn’t work, the horn didn’t work, it had no stereo and was missing the front bumper section. The suspension bushes were stuffed and the brakes were something else. A 'Donor Parts' car was sourced and some negotiations took place, however there was only one problem The car was in Yass and we were in Adelaide. As luck would have it Sean Chalker and Kirsty Best (Support 6) were on their way back to Dubbo on the Mystery Box Rally and kindly offered to help bring the car back to Adelaide on route back to Perth! After many Late Nights and a lot of work we got the Rally Car into some form of state for Rego and its maiden voyage." What happened along the way? Night 1: Car running like sh*t - Every Support Team in Triage had a crack at fixing the MightyBoy Day 2: Headlights Failed Trailered into camp - Headlight temp fix Day 3: Smashed Rear Shocks Temp fix and Temp Repair of Rear Shocks Night 4: Electrical Issues resolved Day 5: Rear Shock mounts Trailered into camp, Welding of Rear Shock mounts Day 6: Snapped Rear Shock Mounts again - Trailered into camp Day 7: Ran Like a Dream all the Way to Darwin!!!! (Handbrake was still stuffed) "After completing 7 rallies this was personally the best one yet! It’s such a different experience having a car that is so small and totally unpredictable. It was great having my partner Naomi Dodd joining me for the first time after helping out in the background for so many years! The Places and Roads we travelled were simply amazing and getting to know the other support teams a whole lot better was great! Thank you must go out to Buddy Group 21 for their patience which at times was put to the test, but we got there triumphantly in the end!" The nominees were..... Bogswood Jungle Safari Two Dicks Outback Don't Whinge Mate Team Shitbox Goodtimes (2nd rally with same blown head gasket) #shitboxrally #cancercouncil

10.01.2022 Its been a productive and somewhat hair raising weekend @ MightyBoy HQ!!! We took the lil boy on its first real test drive after the new exhaust was fitted. It was running like clockwork until we lost all brakes!!!! - on the Freeway mind you heading up to Mt Barker in the Adelaide Hills!!! Lucky we were not too far away from our good friend Pauls place. With some careful gear changing and use of the hand brake we made it there ok.. Turns out the left rear wheel cylinder had decided to give up but fear not, with a line lock installed and a brake bleed we made it home safely. Still a long way to go but with around 3 weeks before we head to Brisvegas its going to be a race around the clock..... but that's how we roll!!
10.01.2022 Not quite in the same league as our beast but it will do :)
10.01.2022 Thanks to the Vanessa and the Crew from Sprint Auto Parts (Mt Barker) for supporting TMB and looking after us! Cheers! www.sprintautoparts.com.au
10.01.2022 Well that's a wrap.. for tonight anyway :) Another big weekend done and dusted. Rear brakes sorted and all lines flushed again with fresh brake fluid. Wiring and More wiring continues but getting closer. We now have our rear Lightforce Work lights working and all other relays and switches functional. Our Redarc Dual Battery system is almost completed which means we will have 240v Power up to 2000W !!! Front brakes are next on the to do list along with a final tidy up ready for our theme reveal hopefully this time next week.. Remember there is still time to donate to our team and the cause if you haven't done so already, just click the Donate Button and follow the instructions. Thanks for your Continued support!
10.01.2022 Not only did our Little Boy make it, but today at the after party we were voted the 'least likely to make it Award' which included a trophy and a Rally School Voucher!! We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for making this the best rally yet including smashing the Fundraising total to over $1.9M for the Cancer Council! Next year Perth to Sydney Via Uluru !!!!!
10.01.2022 TMB is still alive!! Very limited signal has meant no updates but do we have some stories to share!! Ok here goes : new spark plug leads, new spark plugs, new fuel pump relay, fixed a coolant leak and changed oil, a quick tune up @2.30am on Wednesday morning and we were on our way so we thought...., UHF failure followed by another snapped rear shock mount and on the trailer again. Then the support trailer blew a tyre and suspension mount and made for another late night... so we are on the last leg to Darwin so fingers crossed we make it. Massive shout out to buddy group 21, team A2 all of the support teams for helping us get this far EPIC!!!!
10.01.2022 Like a Swiss Watch!!

06.01.2022 Well that's a first! We were told that the MightyBoy was too small to go on Bridgestone's Computerised Whiz Bang Wheel Aligner (after it was discovered last night the Front wheels were facing almost different directions along with a massive whooing sound to boot...) so enter Arthur from Southern Wheel Alignment!! What an absolute champion! Old School Service, Analog Machinery and a couple of Dad Jokes thrown in for good measure!... Arthur has 3 rules...1) No Eftpos 2) No Receipts 3) No Worries!! It drives as straight as an arrow now!!! winning!! Call in and see him at 2B Albert St, Clarence Gardens SA 5039 Phone (08) 8297 6668

05.01.2022 What a day it has been!! It all started @6.30am this morning with a pickup in a shitbox Uber service courtesy of Thomas and team Stonecutters. At that stage we had no idea if our lil Boy was even in Brisvegas, however as luck would have it the Geezers rang us after arriving @ 3am in the morning safe and sound. So we picked up our machine and headed straight to Suzi Auto Services who installed our new rear shockers, fixed a coolant leak and gave the car the final once over. The afternoon was spent with another great sponsor The Chevy Bar then onto the final briefing. A few more finishing touches and we are done!! Start line tomorrow Goodnight All :)
