02.01.2022 If you can help us support this wonderful charity we as a family will be so greatful the wonderful staff and regulars at the Upper George have organized a fun rounders match to raise funds for The Cellar Trust in memory of our much loved son Ben for those of you who don't know we lost Ben suddenly last April on his 40th birthday we still don't know the exact cause of death an autopsy and toxicology have not shown a cause, so we as a family and friends now have to face the pro...spect of an inquest. Ben was a kind gentle man who we love and miss everyday, we like to think he just went to sleep and didn't suffer any pain he deserved that at least, RIP our big lad. Ben in his later years suffered some mental health issues brought on by prescription drugs prescribed by his doctors, a very difficult confusing time for him and us all, he spent some time in hospital but on leaving hospital he had little to no support to rehabilitate. We as a family did what we could but now we wished we had known about The Cellar Trust a great little local charity that helps give people new skills and opportunities to face life again you can go along and have a coffee or a lovely meal in their cafe or buy something a client has made or become a friend of the trust and help someone on an individual basis. So please spread the word it might help someone struggling, we all know someone who might need help or come along on the day, 8th July, everyone welcome more details to follow, or if you can add a few quid quid to the pot it all helps. Thanks again to the the staff, Lisa Nicholl Rawnsley and regulars Phil Rieny of The Upper George for organizing this event and keeping the charity in people's thought you are all amazing. Love Mandy Tom and family x
