25.01.2022 So good to see Rugby back at Long Road!
24.01.2022 We'd like to say a huge thankyou to everyone in the community who has already recycled containers in our pod at Long Road. In the first month over 1000 containers have been deposited. If you are thinking of recycling through the Containers for Change pod, simply place eligible containers in a plastic bag and place it into the pod. To help us raise money for the facilities please write the ID number 'C10309262' onto the bag (or leave it blank). Money raised is going back into maintaining our facilities at Long Road. Tamborine Mountain Sports Association and all member clubs really appreciate your support!
24.01.2022 During National Volunteers Week (this week) we would like to give a huge shout out to all of the volunteers in all of our member clubs and on the TMSA board. Our community is fortunate to have such a wonderful and dedicated group of individuals willing to give so much of themselves and their time to our children and the community. Thank you!

Congratulations and best wishes to all the teams within Tamborine Mountain Basketball on an incredible first season. The community they are building is a credit to Adam, the team of coaches, parents, supporters and children. Good Luck

All the while people from our community have been enjoying the wonderful environment and beautiful weather at Long Road while walking and running. What a wonderful asset!

22.01.2022 It is wonderful to see local businesses getting behind our sports clubs!
22.01.2022 To our sport and recreation stakeholders, Following on from the update provided by the department on Friday 16 April 2021 regarding easing of restrictions, please find below further detail recently clarified by Queensland Health for your information. Outdoor based sporting organisations are no longer considered restricted businesses under the Business Restrictions Direction (No. 18) and are not required to continue collecting contact tracing information. Indoor occupant densi...ty requirements no longer apply to shared change rooms for these organisations. Indoor spaces associated with outdoor clubs, such as clubhouses with hospitality activities or canteens with indoor dining etc are still required to follow occupant density requirements (e.g. one person per 2 square metres) relevant to that space, allowing for physical distancing to the extent possible and adhering to the public health controls. These areas are also mandated to use the Check In Qld app to collect contact information for the purposes of contact tracing. The measures detailed in the Industry Plans have become a part of our day-to-day routine, so we would encourage you to continue to promote COVID Safe messages, even if your organisation is no longer required to follow an Industry Plan. As a reminder this includes: promoting physical distancing promotion of good hand and respiratory hygiene regular cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces and equipment. The Queensland Return to Play website has been updated to reflect current information. Please contact the team at [email protected] if you have any further queries. Regards Andrew Andrew Sly Assistant Director-General Sport and Recreation Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport

01.01.2022 Incredibly disappointed to have our community sports facilities at Long Road vandalised last night. Our sports clubs and the TMSA Board are run by hard working volunteers who simply want to enable sports and recreational activities for our children and the broader community. These acts take time, effort and fundraised money away from making things better at Long Road and divert them to fixing facilities unnecessarily damaged. If anyone has any information about what happened, could you please contact Police. Thank you
01.01.2022 It doesn’t matter which way you look at it the Long Road sports and recreation complex is a wonderful community asset!
