23.01.2022 Student Visa -AAT favourable decision on PIC 4020 One of our clients received a positive outcome from AAT against refusal of his student visa on ground that he provided false or misleading information in his student visa application. Point to highlight : If an applicant provides an information or document without any purposeful falsity, ie, without an element of deception or fraud, the AAT may consider the mistake as genuine or accidental based on documentary evidence b...efore it. It must be an 'innocent mistake' on applicant's part, and must be convincing to the AAT.
