25.01.2022 Something we here at TNT GARAGE and our suppliers from all over the world have all been waiting for... Some of the parts found on the EK hatch we have built are first and only one in AUSTRALIA... We can and will help you acquire if you like what you see...... Starting with the amazing pre bent, pre notched, pre welded hoop, 10pt roll cage as well as the parachute mount and belly pan, all these items have allowed the EK to be tech inspected and pass with flying colours under ANDRA & IHRA regulations to run as fast as 8.50, thanks to the amazing work from @JASON WHITFIELD and his team at whitfield cages The upgraded turbo manifold and cooler setup all came from KNOLE MITCHELL and his amazing team at klm fabrications. The new fuel system is a mix & match of parts n brands, but big thanks to JASON PARK and his team at fscrace who sent me their 19L under car, factory position fuel cell/tank. Massive thanks to MICHAEL KALAITZAKIS aka STIX from quickbitz for all the raceworks fittings and lines throught the entire car BENNY ROBINSON from bcr fab did an amazing job fitting and welding the cage and parachute Mount, making that 3.5inch stainless exhaust system fit in standard location all the way to the bak And not too mention the custom screamer pipes 1 up & 1 down. Very big thanx to SAM CHEZ from Neat gearboxes for the box he has built for this car Oem vtir integra box Using a ATS longer ratio 1st gear M factory billet cuff instead of 5th gear Oem itr lsd Fresh bearings and synchros throught Aswell as their inhouse ISF coating. IVAN HO from x3e motorsports has been amazing help and advice regarding clutch kits Only using the best Competition clutch twin disc in the mighty ek Now, if we didnt buy the parts from FERNANDO MARTINEZ and JOEY RAMIREZ at Ostar motorpsorts, these guys did everything in their power to get my stuff shipped to me from USA even if it wasnt something they get, they sell or even deal with... Wateva my request was, there was never a issue or hesitation to help us out... Suspension is pretty simple atm. 22.01.2022 A little late with this update... But relocating TNT GARAGE head quarters has taken a toll... A long time friend, big honda supporter, stance and ice was always his game, he eventually gave his gorgeous Taylor to us for some performance loving TNT GARAGE style....... He and his Taylor need NO introduction to the car scene, but we have introduced Taylor to a whole new world... Jason Tranz finally gave in and came to us with a vision, a very stressful task we needed to accomplish, make it work, make it happen and above all make it look good or should i say, look STOCK We slowly over a 10 month period ordered and stored parts for this build... From our awesome friends in USA Knole Mitchel at KLMFAB.COM supplied us with his verticle flow intercooler rated at 650hp Sheepy supplied us with a rear, low mount manifold And Fernando Martinez at Ostar Motorsports arrange all the shipping aswell as all the supporting parts Tial 44mm wastegate Idx1050 injectors Aeromotive 340lph fuel pump Hondata flashpro Tsx AUTO ecu Our awesome friends James and Andrew at gcg in sydney sent out the gt3076r we chose for this setup Arthur from Tuners Edge supplied most of our aeroflow bits for this build And John Ricca from Race Parts Melbourne played a part in supplying some last minute bits we needed to make things work Benny from BCR FAB always available for all our welding needs after hours And lastly Craig Pisa from V-Spec Performance for the faultless tune We put a plan together 10weeks out from Melbournes 2018 Honda network meet To have the car running and ready... We pushed, we squeezed, we jumped through hoops and worked crazy late hours... We over came some awesome headaches, Major 1 was the wastegate positioning due to design for LHD we had to make a extention to mount the Wastegate clear of the brake booster... We also had to make sure we kept the auto in there long enuf so Jason could actually drive Taylor once tuned... So we made sure we added a external trans cooler mounted directly in the grill, so far, temps havnt seen above 50degrees... And in order to fit a 3inch mandrel bent dump pipe we also had to relocate the oil filter... And while we talking about space and making things clear, the custom cooler piping was fun, had to fit inside and behind the original and special KenStyle bumper, and no matta wat, we HAD to retain the foglight and under NO circumstances were we allowed to even trim the bumper... We did wat we could to make it happen and thursday night b4 honda network, Jason drove Taylor home on a base map we uploaded and adjusted to get the car driving We would like to thank Mr Tranz for giving us the opportunity at TNT GARAGE to work our magic and add some.much needed boost to wake up Taylors sweet ass.... 18.01.2022 Hey every1 We have been quite on the social media side of things, but we been flat out working away, doing wat we do best, boosting hondas... Had come across this bloke Mike Wright over a year ago wen he contacted us with a vision for his clean 99 dc2 type R...... After many discussions over the phone as he was living in Tasmania at the time, we arranged a date for Mike to drop off the car So on his way to relocating his family to QLD he loaded up the itr with all the parts he had collated for the build, some thru us TNT Garage some thru simon SK.WILLIAMS and the bulk of the turbo kit off Jay Dibley As well as some much needed maintenance for the cars reliability, we under took the task of making Mikes dream come true... A warm comp test showed promising results for a 201xxx klm engine and chassis We started with a competition clutch (stage4), freshened up his cv joints and replaced a leaking rear main seal... looking over the other side with a fresh timing belt kit, water pump, and cam seals, we also added a oem thermostat. We cleaned up and replaced dizzy o-ring, new cap, rotor button & ignition leads thanx to ICE IGNITION Now that the maintenance was out the way... The fun began Nothing like a freshly coated manifold thanx to the boys at HPC Leongatha We matched it to a genuine garrett gt3076r with 0.82 rear housing, the kit Mike provided had a v band made dump pipe already with a precision wastegate and it was plumbed bak.into the exhaust for those sneaky quite night runs All the water and oil lines also made inhouse... From there we mounted the intercooler provided and made all new piping with new silocone joiners and clamps Rc1000cc injectors, walbro 255lph pump, new oem fuel filter, and a hondata s300 to manage the lot & a few guages to keep an eye on things... Came bak from our tuners today... To our suprise, it is very very deceiving as to how fast it is as it is very quite, even thru a 3inch exhaust... Some pics of the car... Hope u enjoy it Mike... 14.01.2022 SYD JAMBOREE RE CAP after some melbourne testing with our k20turbo s13 We managed to break 2 tailshafts and 2axles in 2weeks... Finally sorted and ready for Jambo 2018... Made it safely friday arvo Went to do our credentials at WSID so we could b less stressed and more organised for race day SAT 17th March All looking good Prep went well (pics in order below) First run bogged hard, 1.9 60ft and rolled thru 11.2 @133mph... Checked our logs and decided to leave the car as it was as we left the line on only 8psi instead of our usual 14psi 2nd run track.temp.has come.up and we didnt allow.for.it After many delays from.oil downs and breakages it was 3hours after our first run... Our error as the car once again boged pretty hard for a 2.1 in the 60 and ran thru for a 11.5@ 132mph After much discussion, and track temp coming up alot (35degree weather temps) track about 50degrees we turned up the 2step as this was our elimination round... Had trouble starting the car in the tunnel, so the awesome PROMAZ boys gave us a push, managed to clutch start the car b4 the water box, did a burnout to.b told we are disqualified for assist start and was told "its in the rule books for.our class" So, we check the rules and to our suprise NO mention of assist start b4 the waterbox... Only.mention is once in the water box and forward... So we grow the confidence with our crew to go.and see the OFFICIALS which point us to IHRA officer To.our suprise he laughed at the JAMBOREE OFFICIALS decision as its clearly NOT noted in any rule books at all... JAMBOREE offered us to tag onto the bak.of the class to just run but no longer compete... Very sad, but life goes on... We now.pumped as Fuk Sun has.gone down, air temps dropped, track temp still killa... Roll thru, good strong burnout Staged Big 7000rpm 2step, 14psi Dropped clutch and bang Initial thought, AXLE further inspection looks good Got min drive, must b clutch We pack up n head to the stands to recoup the day and watch some of the big boys... and eat donuts... Made it.home.safely sunday arvo... Checked the car properly, massive clutch rides to get car off the trailer and onto hoist.. Decide let's pull the box out and inspect clutch... 1of the boys grabbed a hold.of the right axle to.lean on and it was broken inside the cv boot Very annoyed as we had spares with us... On the plus side, cheap.easy fix... So.todays progress S13 (race car fixed and ready) RX7 street car work.begins... He boosted it, had it tuned, but it eventually failed in the head gasket department. A little too much boost maybe??? So he came to us for some advice and help. We decided to give him some more reliability and fun... 09.01.2022 Re cap on todays street meet at Calder Park Raceway with our K20 turbo S13 We decided this morning at the track to change our start line procedures/driving style to see if we can stop breaking stuff and try make proper use of the new suspension setup... First pass off the trailer this morning and the car leaves the line probably the cleanest ive ever seen To my suprise Toli short shifted 1st to 2nd so.im.arrady disapointed for him... Every other gear change is spot on Then the car crossed the line on the limiter in 4th which is odd... Untill the time boards lights up a 10.38 @ 142mph Not only did we.pb on the first run, we smashed it... The excitement and relief of getting a clean run was real... Second run managed a little wheel spin out of the hole and ran thru with a 10.43 @ 139mph Decided on a lunch break and re cap Almost put the car on the trailer n called it a day... But determined, we tried again, so we raised the limiter in 4th incase we needed it... Bad launch netted a 11.50 Then a terrible launch where Toli decided to just drive the car back around... Last run of the day, gates where closed, so it was all about this 1 last run Almost perfect launch, A little early on the 1st to 2nd gear change again Everyother shift on point No limiter in 4th gear 10.37 @ 139mph... All in all We didnt put a spanner on the car all day It ran flawlessly and the team made sure it was on point all day...
