24.01.2022 Mike Murphy has been Victoria Quays Sergeant at Arms for the last few years. Mike is absolutely invaluable to our club. He makes sure everything is set up and ready to go on time, keeps us on track and does the magical behind the scenes work tidying everything up once most people have already left. This week our President Caroline Devenish-Meares delivered an inspiration on showing people our appreciation. She followed it up by handing Mike a little present and card as a si...gn of our appreciation. We couldnt do it without you Mike! Thank you on behalf of everyone at Victoria Quay!

24.01.2022 Our last meeting for the year will be held on 19 December 2018 at the Swan Yacht Club and will include a Secret Santa Xmas Party. We recommence in the new year on 9 January 2019 at the PCYC 34 Paget St Hilton. Have a good Xmas everyone and a Happy New Year!

21.01.2022 Sunil conned us Last night at Victoria Quay Sunil delivered a powerful speech. "Call from the Heavens" was The Dramatic Speech from the Entertaining Speakers Manual.... After tests for a mysterious illness, his doctor gave him the bad news. His kidneys were hopelessly diseased. If he didnt find a donor he would be dead in 6 months. He described his devastation. The thoughts. His body language. His face and broken voice carried the message. We were devastated with him. Until his final sentence. "I woke and found it was a nightmare." There was one positive of sorts from the debacle. Sunil showed himself a master of facial and vocal language. If he offers to sell you something - buyer beware!!

18.01.2022 Dont forget our new start time of 6.30pm commences as from 7 November 2018. The 6.30pm start will hopefully give people whom work more time to be able to attend our meetings.

17.01.2022 Victoria Quay Toastmasters successfully held the first meeting at its new location @ PCYC 34 Paget St Hilton on 21 November 2018. Feedback about the facilities from members attending was positive.

16.01.2022 Meeting #1040 We had 21 members present on Nov 11 2015. There were no visitors - the first time for several months. Leisl gave her first speech - her Icebreaker - Crazy Sisters Ilija provided Supper for the first time and the pic shows some of our members enjoying it. Thats Ilija making himself a cup of coffee.

13.01.2022 We have our Humorous Speech and Table topic contests coming up on 12 September 2018. All members are encouraged to participate and enjoy the experience.

13.01.2022 Dinner Meeting coming Keith Hutchings has introduced these special meetings to Victoria Quay. Come along on April 4, 2018 to see what they are like.... There will be 3 courses - the obvious ones. Members will contract to bring along a salad or a cooked course or a sweet. Members will present their food with a 3 minute speech about it - where they got the recipe? how they prepared it? a family background? or something different altogether. Visitors are welcome. There will be plenty of varied scrumptious food. You can ring Keith on 0424 922 515

11.01.2022 Congratulations to Mike Murphy on winning the Area Final Humorous speech contest. Mike goes onto the represent Vic Quay at the Divisional Final. Best of luck Mike.
