23.01.2022 Christmas has come early this year with The PDC gifting us Volume 22 of the TOASTCAST The PDC’s passion for electronic music was ignited, like many, in Melbourne’s indie/electro scenes of the late 2000s. A few years living in Amsterdam in the early part of the last decade exposed the PDC to the real meaning of deep house music. Upon returning to Melbourne, PDC discovered the city had a burgeoning scene with access to key underground DJs from abroad. The Australian techno dr...eam is that of endless beaches, space, and freedom in the bush, combined with soulful sounds of the underground. An avid wax enthusiast, The PDC sees vinyl records as the heritage of the spirit of house music, to be rediscovered and shared at intimate, smaller, less dusty parties. 21.01.2022 Volume 21 of the TOASTCAST is brought to you by Dan Kearney Fresh to the craft of DJing, Dan has spent the past six months of isolation pouring himself into his new controller as a way to pass the time and learn something new. His hardest lesson was learning to work past the ego of trying to achieve perfection, knowing that the magic often happens alongside the chaos of experimentation. ... While often frustrating, especially when comparing himself to friends who have been playing a lot longer, Dan now knows to see every one of these iterations as a progression on the last, and each new mix however flawed, as a snapshot of his understanding at the time. For his TOASTCAST Dan has featured funky selections across his favourite genres that really resonated with him during lockdown, while having as much fun as possible along the way.
