25.01.2022 Late for earth day (which was yesterday), but I wanted to share what decisions I make to help our planet. 1. My pilates clothes - most of my tights and some of my bras are made from recycled plastic, think ghost nets and water bottles. 2. My mat is made from cork and rubber, both sustainable tree products. Rubber comes from a rubber tree, a fig, it is the sap that gets used and the tree does not need to be cut down to harvest rubber. Cork is the bark off an oak tree, w...hich replenishes itself once harvested, so again no chopping down of trees. 3. My water bottles are triple insulated and reusable. I've had the same two bottles for over 3 years. I take them EVERYWHERE with me. Buy quality and you won't be wasteful having to buy new bottles. What decisions have you made to try and limit your impact in the planet? Pilates clothes I buy from include: @nimbleactivewear @dharmabumsactive @niyamasol @lifeapparelco (currently offering students a discount too!) All of these brands have high quality products. One pair of tights I have worn every week multiple times for over 3 years! So they last, they moisture wick, they are supportive, they fit great and good for the planet! And most of these are Aussie owned too! #stayhome #isolife #pilates #pilateseveryday #pilatesinstructor

24.01.2022 Class timetable change ... Public classes are still via Zoom and will now be on a Monday and Thursday, either bright and early at 5:15am or at 4pm. If you would like to know more, please get in contact. Happy moving peeps... #pilates #pilateseveryday #pilatesinstructor

23.01.2022 When you mix your two loves of ecology and pilates all I can see is animals in pilates poses. Check out this humpback doing a wonderful upside swan. Look at that extension!

13.01.2022 I'm going to start doing some little instructional videos. Think one exercise of abdominals or testing your balance, coordination or strength. It's not a challenge as such with timeframe and a promise that you will lose however many kilos, BUT it is something everyone at home can have a go at and see what you may need to improve on. See if everyone in your household can do it. Question ... would these be better as a story or post? Oh and don't forget, classes this week, hit... me up to receive your Zoom link. It's never too late to try and improve your posture, your pain, your strength, your balance your breathing your height (yep it's true - to a certain extent ) and your general health and well being. #pilates #pilateseveryday #exercise #goldcoast #movement #fitness #health #wellbeing #body #pilatesinstructor #pilatesclass

13.01.2022 Yep you don't have to have the latest of pilates fashion to actually do pilates! I have been doing 10 tricep push ups a day and adding in some other movements for the month of April. If you are interested in joining a virtual class I have four a week planned. Monday's and Thursday's at 4pm, and Tuesday's and Thursday's at 5:15am. Private and other group classes by appointment.

11.01.2022 Chest Lift prep - Abs Let's learn to actually use our abdominals. This exercise is a prep for a full chest lift. I like to start at the beginning and this exercise can be made harder by adding in pulses or holding for up to ten seconds. Remember, don't pull your head forward . Disclaimer: This exercise is only to be attempted by those who have had the okay from their GP and/or physiotherapist. Try at your own risk.

10.01.2022 Weekend three out of six to learn the repertoire of studio pilates, surrounded by students, physios, mentors and educators. Here is me doing some Pelvic Press on the trapeze table. @polestarpilatesau @thebodyrefinery #pilates

09.01.2022 Learning to Bridge Alright let's kick off these instructional videos. It's bridge time! This is a basic bridge and there are many different variations to lengthen and strengthen different parts of our body, but fits, let's go with the basics. ... Benefits of bridging include and are not limited to spinal articulation, lengthening of the spine, abdominal strength, glute and hamstring strength, controlling your body and breathing. Don't forget to breathe! Disclaimer: Only people with no movement issues or injuries, and have the okay from their GP and physiotherapist should attempt these exercises. Try at your own risk.

07.01.2022 And reeeeeeeach. Get long. Energy out through the crown of your head. All of this to walk tall, have better posture, be strong, have control and most of all, to feel better. Classes this week:... Monday and Thursday 5:15am and 4pm Pic by @kendratillpilates See more

07.01.2022 Assisted roll up Give this one a go. Can you do it? Let me know how you go! Disclaimer: Exercises are only to be attempted if you are injury free or have no movement issues, or have had the okay from your GP or physiotherapist.

04.01.2022 Thanks to @kendratillpilates for an in-person session . You always find the best way to challenge my body. Virtual Zoom classes have been great but there is nothing like the real thing. Get your workout partner or trainer, find a pretty location outside and get creative with the equipment that you have! #pilates #matpilates #polestarpilates #pilateseveryday #pilatesinstructor

03.01.2022 Pilates study = many hours of practice, observation and teaching #pilates #pilatesinstructor

01.01.2022 Pilates study. Yep, you can find me here doing this exercise (circumduction). Moving that spine just how it should. I haven't been holding any mat classes lately but I have been apprentice teaching in studios as part of my course. Now I have this wall unit at home, I am hoping to start doing some private sessions with people. It might not look like much, but it can work your body, it can make your body move and it can make your body sweat!... Hit me up if you are interested in moving your body the way it should. #pilates #pilatesinstructor
