09.01.2022 Inter-row sowing When sowing into last years stubble, it's best to plant between the rows of the old stubble. This will ensure good soil to seed contact, it will allow the stubble to function like a cover crop rather than wiping it out. These shots were taken in South Australia where the farmer established crops between the rows of last years stubble. They include lentils established in wheat stubble and wheat established in lentil stubble. All crops established using our Tornado, 12M (40ft) wide on 300mm (12in) spacing.
