20.01.2022 Huge thank you to everyone who brought a CD this weekend at Bruthen Blues/Arts festival. We raised $450 to hand over to my good friend Brad Mcabe who is rowing the entire bloody length of the Murray River!! Brad is raising money for Beyond Blue and also raising awareness for depression. Brad lost his brother, a good friend of mine Tom, to depression a few years ago. Its something that is still really raw and painful for me and I cant imagine what Brad has been going throug...h. For him to take such positive steps (strokes) is absolutely inspiring and I met a lot of people who felt the same way. Youre not alone on this mate. Check out Rowing for a cause in the comment section, I heard it goes further in the comments and we want Brads great message to go as far as it can go. I love this old photo of us fishing on Singhys country, hours out of Darwin. Good times. I think old mate Wilson couldnt play footy next week because the sand fly bites on his legs. I think the reef shark on his head was o.k though. Haha!!

This CD features some of my favourite musicians including Danny Mckenna (drums), Ben Franz (double bass) and Alex Burkoy (violin). It was all recorded, mixed and mastered at Woodstock studios by Robin Mai. If you would like a CD just send me a private message and I can post them out next week. Cost is 15 + postage. 07.01.2022 So I did my first live to air/stream thingo the other day for this absolutely brilliant initiative called Live at Spectrum, which has a focus on original Gippsland artists. So about 5min before I was on I ducked out for a quick warm-up. I went out the back of the studio and had a light sing and strum when out of nowhere I start getting hammered with water!! I accidentally stood on a hose reel and it covered my back and my acoustic. No change of clothes so I just dried off the guitar and got on with it. Check out the link to watch my trying-to-relax-and-not-worry-about-having-a-wet-arse-face. Big thanks to all the crew you were all fantastic. Top notch show and production and excellent water pressure. https://youtu.be/Khex32hKeZY
