21.01.2022 Dig, dig, diggers....Educators extened on the children’s interests in construction after observing their curiosity in watching the building site at our community dog park across the road from the Service. A small world construction site was provided in our ‘tuff tray’. The children love to use the little diggers and dump trucks to transport the different materials around - such as rocks, rice, sand, dirt and oats. Children’s imagination, creativity and manipulative skills are extended as they dig, dump, roll and scoop to make their own roadways, hills etc.

10.01.2022 We highly recommend purchasing these waterproof pants and/or overalls for outdoor playtime at Toddle Inn. During the winter months we still play outdoors. The ground can be damp and muddy. 09.01.2022 The little Possum room children have been exploring Dinosaurs ... The ball pit has been full of different Dinosaur textures to feel... including green ‘dinosaur eggs’ and ‘fluffy grass’ for them to chomp on! Dinosaurs also stomped through paint to make foot prints. Educators extend on children’s interests shown at the service and in their home life; with many children recently visiting the Dinosaur ‘Jurassic Creatures’ exhibition at the Launceston Country Club.

09.01.2022 Fun, fun, fun and lots of mess with a group sensory finger painting activity in the 0-2 year old room today! Children love to explore and feel the different texture of paint as they move their fingers through it, creating a great work of art in the process!
