18.01.2022 Wow. What a cracker of a lunch service. Thank you so much to all who showed up and had a feed and a bevy. Had a couple of teething problems but all went well. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding. We have shut down for a bit to restock and will be open again shortly.... 13.01.2022 Sooooo, as of today, the Northern Territory Government is introducing mandatory Covid 19 Contact Tracing. What this means is that each time you enter the venue and you are here for longer than 15 minutes you MUST check-in. There are 3 ways to check in with us. 1. The Northern Territory Government have introduced The Territory Check In-App. The app is a contactless, secure and easy way for customers to sign into venues should they have a smartphone. Before entering the venue c...ustomers need to scan the QR Code displayed at the entrance using the Territory Check-In App from their phones. The Territory Check-In app is available to download from the Google Play store but not yet available on Apple App store which should be available hopefully soon. 2. Have your ID ready and we will scan your ID upon entry and check you in. 3. Good old manual entry. We will manually write down your details and check you in. This procedure is mandatory and needs to be followed every time if you're going to spend more than 15 minutes at the venue. I appreciate that this is just another thing we have to do, but lets all play ball and work together making this as painless possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. 08.01.2022 Looking forward to having a nice frothy beer or two? Well, the wait is over. We are pleased to announce that we will be opening the Bistro from 12 noon this Friday the 15th of May. There are however a few catches as we will need to adhere to all new regulations regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.... Main New Regulations are as follows: all customers MUST order a meal in order to be able to order an alcoholic beverage. No Meal = No Drink. all customers will have a two-hour time limit in which they can be in the hotel. The physical distancing of 1.5 meters apart still applies. As a business, we are taking extra precautions and are implementing new processes and procedures to reduce the spread and ensuring both customers and staff are looked after. As this is new territory for all of us, things may change at any given moment so we ask in advance for your patience and understanding. 07.01.2022 Public Service Announcement. Unfortunately, we have had to close our kitchen effective immediately. This has been a very hard decision to make but given the present situation we are all in, it is just not a viable option for us at the moment. Two weeks prior to the Covid-19 shutdown we had employed a new head chef and were super excited to bring them into the fold. The plan was to launch a whole new menu with some other great things planned. Obviously, this did not happen.... To look at the positive side of this, as one should, when we do reopen we will have a gobsmacking new menu to chose from with all your pub favorites and some new dishes unseen in Alice Springs. Our head chef will be using this downtime to finalize our new menu and make it something that everyone can look forward to. Feel free to let us know in the comments below what your favorite dishes were and if there is anything you would like to see served by us in the coming future. If there is a common trend, we may just throw it on the menu. Our Thirsty Camel Bottleshop will trade as normal so don't stress about that. 05.01.2022 In accordance with the Prime Ministers announcement, it is with a heavy heart that we must announce the indefinite closure of our bars and bistro as of 12 midday today. Our amazing bottleshop will continue to trade as per normal so come on in and grab your favorite bevvie. Open times are Monday to Friday 2pm - 9pm Saturday 10am - 9pm Sunday 12 - 9pm.... We are working on a new takeaway menu also and will keep you posted once all finalized. Cant let everyone have schnitzel withdrawals. 04.01.2022 And a BIG shout out to goes to ............... all of Alice Springs. It has been an absolute pleasure having you all dine with us in the bistro again. We are super happy to have everyone who has come through over the last 3 days. Given the current circumstances with all the restrictions and regulations, everyone played ball and understood that we are all in this together through thick and thin. Great to see the community as a whole work together and get through this. As s...tated before, we have a new Head Chef and we are trialling some new menu items and so far the feedback has been exceptional. We will continue with the trial and we are aiming for a complete new menu which we will launch on the 5th of June. Come through and check it out and let us know your thoughts.
