24.01.2022 A big well done to Johny from our group 5 gold medals over the weekend four at regionals. He will sleep well tonight because he won gold in the 1500m this morning silver in the javelin silver in the 400m 59.66. A big well done to Alexis a big PB and the 200 metres hurdles also I brought a great weekend for our athletes.
20.01.2022 7 athletes compete today for the first time over 800 metres is season Noah PB 5 seconds, Christian PB 5 seconds, Alexis PB 22 seconds, Michael and Patrick just outside their personal best and Johnny herself solid run. Benefit by Charlotte Jackson who had to compete against the men in her heat because of lack of competition from other girls she eventually had to run a time trial and run the race on her own not that far off her best well done Charlotte
20.01.2022 A big well done to all our athletes it's been a tough year but everyone's managed to train through covert. Tremendous self-discipline by all members of the group some training in pairs or on their own, everyone stuck to their programs and I'm positive we will be rewarded for this in the new year by way of our racing performances. Also a big thank you for the support of the parents of our athletes well done on your time and your commitment. Training hasn't stopped over the Christmas break you've all done very well in this period. Have a safe and happy new year everyone and I'll see you all in the next few days. Keep working hard to towards your goals.
18.01.2022 Congratulations to Jonty silver 800 meters medal little athletics regionals and jamie lee gold in the 800 metres also Fantastic Fo for jamielee in the 200m. Johnny backed that up in the afternoon at the Victorian athletics championships winning a bronze and a PB in the javelin. Also solid runs by our guys in the 800 at the Victorian championships, massive learning experience for you guys. Just remember to see if he's got over 4 weeks to go
17.01.2022 Fantastic performances at the Victorian championships this weekend. Johnty PB 1500 by 16 secs and running it Essendon under 13 Club record and and bronze in 400m . Noah 4th in his first state final ever with a two second pb ,Zac PB 400,, big PB Alexis 5 Second PB the 400. Paddy Stewart to big pb's over 2 days over 400 m not bad for an 800 metre Runner. Michael solid run the 15th. And well done to Charlotte Jackson for coming along to support the crew unfortunately she was injured when I go girl still on her leg at the country champs. Also a big thank you for the parental support of had over the weekend. Bring on the 800 next weekend.
15.01.2022 All the best to our 8 athletes who are competing at the Victorian Country Championships in Ballarat from Friday to Sunday. The word Loch doesn't come into this weekend you all have the potential to put some great performances on the board, most you trained in isolation during the lockdown have a great weekend.
08.01.2022 Some fantastic results from out group most of our team run a 400 m race after backing up from the milers 1500 meeting on Thursday. Congratulations to Jamie Lee having a first run for athletics Essendon running a personal best in the 1500s and also the 400 the absolute standard highlight of the afternoon was Noah 14 years of age running a personal best 55:78 a 5 second personal best. A big well done to a crew who had commitment to backup from Thursday. Also big shout out to Patrick who's on holidays at Robe last two weeks who has not missed a beat in his training very hard todo on your own well done mate. And a big hello to Christian who's been a bit crook this week or bug who was really looking forward to race you'll be back in town soon mate
08.01.2022 Fantastic performances by members of our group personal bests from Johnty. Patrick and Noah. Tomorrow at the Victorian athletics championships we have four athletes in the 4 , individual 400m finals go for it guys and girls .
01.01.2022 Fantastic results for our team at milers meet at Box Hill in wet and windy conditions. Club record in the men's under 13 3000m to Johnty 38 Second personal best running 10.43. Jamie Lee from Gisborne ran a 800 m personal best of 6secs in 2.32 not bad for a 12-year-old great effort. Noah also ran a PB of 210 backing up from a PB on Sunday after almost missing his race The rest of team not too far off personal bests on a shocking night for racing well done guys and girls.
