25.01.2022 ULSTER 1 GOLDEN LADY filmed last week with her new heifer at foot born 7/1/21. Check out the very ample udder on this matron who is one of our foundation females . Her calf is sired by RAVEN RED MEMPHIS ( Zambuka x Raven Red Ms Gillard) . We have retained two daughters in stud out of Golden Lady , and both have recently calved to RAVEN MAN O MAN .

She is in calf to TOEBELLE BEAN CREDENTIAL , our Red moderately framed , young P drop , very softly made , HUNT CREDENTIALS 37C son ,who is also very docile . This should be a very interesting joining .

23.01.2022 GOOD MORNING FROM TOEBELLE LIMOUSINS Sunrise over one of our dams. It has, over the last few weeks ,been very wet and boggy in our paddocks . A few weeks of sunshine would be nice , and would give the winter pasture a boost!

Lucy is a young heifer coming thru , pictured a few months ago , and exhibiting the Zambuka traits we love . We have a full flush sister of the same age , who phenotypically differs in body style , with a little more length to her frame .

21.01.2022 This afternoon a day eagerly looked forward to with , The Man . RAVEN MAN O MAN M617 , who survived snake bite at Easter this year ( see post detailing the miracle of his survival and early recovery )was finally brought home from the other side of the creek out in the main paddock , where he had been recovering behind an electric fence enclosure since he got up after being down one month . He walked the whole way and behaved very much like a bull , bellowing , digging , rubbing against trees and a visit to the fence line to check out RAVEN LEGAL L121. So happy to finally have him near the house paddock, and this will make it easier to care for him as he continues to recover see short video . He was very vocal about it too , see additional video posted .

21.01.2022 MANDAYEN STARR E1410, DOB : 4/5/2009 A softly made , yet powerful ,Hunt Mr Jock daughter, filmed here eagerly chomping away on some winter strip feed . Starr E1410 is a female who consistently holds great fat cover and condition , she looked much the same during the drought! She has a superb topline and a larger lengthier frame . Starr E1410 is a female with a generous EMA , a great data set of figures for rib and rump fat, and is also has low birth weight trait EBV,s. An oldie but a goodie !

20.01.2022 Shalone Kuddles , with her B BAR TITANIUM heifer , short video this afternoon . We are impressed by this young calf who exhibits some very eye appealing thickness and is developing into a standout solidly built youngster, and yet she is only 1 month old .

19.01.2022 MANDAYEN ABIGAIL 1731 , with her heifer by Raven Man O Man , pictured early in the year . This promising calf is now owned by KHATABUNDAH LIMOUSINS. The Abigail females we own are maternally strong performers , and were all AI in December to MANDAYEN FORTUNE, for hopefully high EMA scoring progeny .

18.01.2022 Chunky little commercial new bull calf pictured with Raven Man O Man M617. A heifers first calf out of a Limousin x Brangus in our commercial herd , his sire is Toebelle Bean Credential . His dam we bred out of a Tocal Brangus cow by one of our stud Limousin bulls . If he makes a bull he should carry lots of muscle and the Limousin carcase attributes , along with the excellent maternal characteristics from his Brangus heritage , all key attributes to infuse into a commercial herd .We have a strong market for Limousin infused commercial bulls .

16.01.2022 RAVEN MAN O MAN M617, ( our miracle bull ) see earlier post for the story , short video late this afternoon . He is getting stronger and with some improvement in his gait and pace . ( we have to be much quicker now coming in with the feed ! ) . He has a sheen to his coat now , whereas a few weeks ago it was extremely dull and lack lustre . He is also starting to behave like a bull, bellowing and grumbling at the neighbours bull , and he has dug himself a bull pit . Please see/ load comments for additional videos ) . Considering how he was literally at deaths door just at Easter , we are happy with his progress .

15.01.2022 RAVEN MAN O MAN , this afternoon, who is recovering from a very nearly fatal snake bite at Easter ( for those of you who are not familiar with his extraordinary story , there is an earlier post with all the incredible details ) . He is exhibiting a near normal gait now , with some speed to it ! Hoping to soon get him back over the creek and near the house paddock , where it will be easier to care for him . Man o man is also behaving like a bull now , bellowing , growling , digging bull pits and rubbing himself on the trees , all such a phenomenal contrast to just a few months ago ! This is one amazing bull , his calves are pretty special too !

Whilst she is a smaller framed female , she has some excellent EBVS, top 1 % for Milk, Scrotal and calving ease , and top 5% for EMA. 14.01.2022 We love the KRYSTAL cow family. Our Krystal females are maternally strong and of excellent type . This heifer TOEBELLE GOLDEN KRYSTAL Q20, in foreground , is sired by GRANETA HOO DOO GURU, and is out of MANDAYEN KRYSTAL L196. Her first calf whom we retained , a black heifer by Raven Legal L121 , is currently being joined to TOEBELLE BEAN CREDENTIAL. Krystal Q20 is a stylish fronted feminine heifer we are looking forward to seeing develop .

13.01.2022 Commercial Limousin sired weaner heifer out of a Brangus cow in our commercial herd . This calf was sired by Raven Man O Man , and sold in a group to a commercial client earlier this year . We find this a highly productive, Hardy and successful commercial cross , inheriting the best of both breeds attributes, and such heifers generally go on to make superb maternal powerhouses !

12.01.2022 A good article explaining how the temperment of Limousin cattle has improved significantly , although it should be noted there is still a perception amoungst some that Limousin cattle are aggressive , and have poor temperments , when infact docility is quite the opposite in the vast majority because of the work that has been done . After having some Limousin steers who had performed very well in the drought , they became interested in Limousin cattle, and their strongly beneficial attributes . 10.01.2022 WELCOME AMBER PARK NOVA MISS with her new bull calf at foot AMBER PARK RENDEZVOUS . Purchased recently at the Northern Limousin Breeders Sale , this impressive maiden heifer is by IVYS BUBBA WATSON . Her cracking little bull calf was born just prior to sale day at Scone and we were actually there inspecting her and she was labouring at the time ! We really liked her beautiful quiet temperment , appealing phenotype , exceptional udder and she absolutely impressed us ...with the way she calved so easily for a maiden ! Her pretty handy little bull calf is by the Apostle son , Summit Prediction N49, and could potentially become a promising young sire himself . Ivys Bubba Watson is an outcross for us , with Amber Park Nova Miss being our first secured progeny . We look forward to seeing how this young female contributes to our program , with plans to flush her in our next program . See more

10.01.2022 RAVEN MAN O MAN M617, who was finally brought home yesterday afternoon , from his Electric fence enclosure , across the creek and up the hill in the main paddock . Short video , he seems to behaving like a bull now , vocalising, growling , bellowing , digging , rubbing , he must be feeling like his manhood has returned ! No doubt he is smelling another of our bulls who was in this laneway recently . He will continue to convalescence in the top paddock with Mandayen Starr E1410 for company . Muscle tone and condition is restored , hopefully time will bring further improvements to his physical fitness .

08.01.2022 Gorgeous very nearly Spring weather this weekend at Toebelle! Such a amazing contrast to last weekends bitterly cold relentless winds , the cattle are definitely much happier . Here is a short video of one or our herds , featuring both stud and commercial cattle strip grazing on oats , rye and sub clover and enjoying both the warmth and the feed.

This young fellow was born 15/6/20 , and at not quite 3 months of age his early growth had been impressive . 05.01.2022 Temperment is a key trait of vital importance , which has been a key focus within the Limousin breed , with these traits significantly improved overall in the Limousin breed . This article is promoting the value of a calm , docile temperment and why selection of such animals is so important . Temperment is a vitally important trait we value and endeavour to breed in our herd . Our 2019 naturally bred calf crop were all by 3 of our 4 stud bulls and were as a group consistently of excellent docility . We have one yearling bull left available , he is bred out of proven high performance bloodlines and is exceptionally quiet . He has an excellent EBV profile . 04.01.2022 TOEBELLE RAZZAMATAZZ Q12, a Homo polled embryo calf by GREENWOOD PLD ZEPPELIN out of the great Razzamatazz J17 cow . We have two heifers out of J17, the older P drop heifer is by Wulfs Apostle and is currently being joined to Toebelle Bean Credential. Both are lengthy framed females . It is interesting to see the influence of the dam on both heifers , and how they compare with different sires.

04.01.2022 2019 Spring drop calf crop , bull calf by MANDAYEN FORTUNE, out of a Black MANDAYEN ABIGAIL cow . We have 3 paternal brothers from this program . Developing nicely, they appear to have some extra length in their frames . The ABIGAIL cow family is a proven high performance line and FORTUNE has been extremely successful and highly profitable sire for the GRANETA stud . We have inspected MANDAYEN FORTUNE years ago in the flesh , and he is indeed a very impressive sire ! These calves were bred strategically with their proven bloodlines, and it just so happened we were fortunate, pardon the pun , to get 3/3 calves on the ground and all bulls !

04.01.2022 BIRUBI JET ROSE J167, and her RAVEN MAN O MAN M617 sired heifer calf, TOEBELLE MYSTIC ROSE R46 , date of birth 5/3/20 . This calf is exhibiting some exciting early growth and depth of hindquarter.

04.01.2022 ULSTER 1 GOLDEN LADY, one of our foundation females. She has bred very consistently , with 2 heifers being retained and one of her admirable granddaughters sold to stud . Her daughter , Toebelle Golden Crumpet, currently has a December born Apricot bull at foot by Raven Man o Man ( see earlier post ) , whom she is doing a very good job on ! We recently sold her last calf by Raven Red Memphis as a bull . This cow is absolutely breeding some sound progeny. . Pictured last October .

02.01.2022 A group of some of our current natural weaner calves this season . This group are all sired by either Raven Red Memphis ( ET ) or Graneta Hoodo Guru . We are very happy with the overall quality and consistency of Memphis first calf crop .( Zambuka x Raven Red Ms Gillard.)

Whilst he is faltering a little in the very wet muddy soil , ( which is slippery with hay which is decomposing in the muddy sections ) it is fantastic to see the miraculous improvement ! This exceptional bull has defied all conceivable odds from deaths door at Easter to date . Definitely the star of the show!

01.01.2022 Calving is definitely in full swing here at a Toebelle in several herds . Most days there has been at least one new arrival since before Xmas, all are a result of natural service by two of our walking stud sires , RAVEN RED MEMPHIS M381( Zambuka) and RAVEN MAN O MAN M167. Today’s featured new arrival is TOEBELLE GOLDEN CRUMPET , an ULSTER 1 GOLDEN LADY daughter retained in our stud . Her bull calf is by RAVEN MAN O MAN M167( short video taken little more than one hour afte...r birth ) . Golden Crumpets maternal sister , is also in production , ULSTER 1 LULU, whom we also retained in herd, has also just calved recently on New Year’s Day , also to Raven Man O Man , after a very impressive short calving interval . LULU had her previous calf , a well muscled bull featured a few months ago , Toebelle Epic Man ,on 12/12/19, also sired by MAN O MAN . This cow family has been consistent and proven .
