21.01.2022 Dear Friends of Together Wines, We are writing to let you know of our news; we have decided to sell our home and farm. It has been a very difficult decision to make (and we have wavered many times during the past few months) but we have made a final decision and are in the process of putting our home on the market. We do not regret any of the choices we have made, the life this farm has created has been a dream for our young family to enjoy, and something we will always cher...ish. However as the girls grow and Euan’s work off farm demands more of his time and energy, we have found that we do not have the time to do justice to what we believe has wonderful potential. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved as a young family and will leave feeling proud of how we have left this land; clean and far more productive than when we arrived. We have hand planted grapes, dozens of fruit trees, shade trees and trees for the wildlife. We have tended crops, grown food and made delicious wine. We have raised two beautiful daughters who have learned and grown so much from this adventure. We have built an incredible network of friends here and will stay in the immediate area, simply opting for a little land, perhaps a bit closer to the ocean. Thank you so much for your support over the years. It has been the wind in our sails on many occasion! We look forward to catching up with many of you over the Summer break. 07.01.2022 Pressing the Pinot noir, old school. Thanks to Breakfast Creek Vineyard for the loan of the press.
06.01.2022 There are many mechanical and chemical ways to clarify wine. Instead we use time and gravity! This photo shows the grape solids, yeast and tartrates settled on the base of the Sauvignon blanc tank. We just drain the clarified wine off the top. It looks icky but it's awesome for the compost.
