20.01.2022 One of the reasons I created Together Business was because of a desire to create and influence better versions of the organisations which exist today, so that the organisations of tomorrow are places where people want to show up and contribute their best. A key part of making this a reality is allowing our emerging leaders to experience what an organisation can be and look like when our values guide every business decision and relationship. Where people come before profit.... I am proud to be a mentor in the UNSW Career Accelerator program for this exact reason. I get to show students that there is no one path to a successful career, and it's ok to do things your own way and follow your passions. When I was studying at UNSW, whilst eternally grateful for the internship opportunities I had, I was told on a number of occasions that my dreams to support business owners to make a difference in this world were "nice for someone so young to have, but pretty unrealistic". It is important to me to let our emerging leaders know that their contributions and views are valued, and the traditional "culture of work" where young people have to earn the right to be seen and heard doesn't have to be "just the way it is". You do you, and dream big!

06.01.2022 Happy new financial year! I know it doesn’t have the same excitement as December 31st there’s no champagne, no midnight countdowns and no fireworks. The only hangover is the one on your balance sheet (which is hopefully in the black!). But, like the first of January, the first of July is a time to look forward and not back.
