25.01.2022 Other than snow falling, I don't think it could get any closer to winter than this! It's 10 degrees and freezing. There has also been a blanket of fog all day which is preventing us from doing anything in the yards like mothering up twin ewes and lambs. We've just moved this mob of twin maiden ewes with the their lambs and we are thrilled with the performance of all. Out of 176 scanned in lamb twin ewes we have had 287 lambs tagged and marked from the first join sires. This e...quates to 163% marked. The second join ewes are still lambing and we hope to record good numbers of those too. We are proud of our genetics and happily share that we have been a non mules flock for several years now. We have eliminated wrinkle through breeding but maintain fleece weight and quality and of course increase fertility and consistently achieve low worm egg counts. 24.01.2022 What a beautiful evening sunset in Winter. I had my first day back out in the yards today after 7 weeks . Golly it felt good to be with my girls and see their lambs! The ewes are looking very healthy and happy. Will post more photos of progeny as they come to hand!

20.01.2022 It's here! The 33rd Toland Poll Merino Online sale has started off well. The boys are happily munching away in their paddock and are waiting patiently for someone to decide on their forever home . 20.01.2022 It's weaning and weighing time for the 2020 drop and I'm pretty impressed with them. We've had some whoppers, 50kg, and they are progeny (or grand progeny) of 151545, a fabulous Toland sire that is still working wonders in the stud. There are rams by him for sale in the On Property Auction which happens in 2 weeks today! With only 5 more inspection days available (Tuesdays and Fridays) I would encourage you to get in quickly to secure a viewing time. 17.01.2022 These are the boys for sale this year. With an average weight of 67kg we think they are looking pretty good! We are still working out the logistics for the On Property Sale to be held on Monday the 28th of September. At this stage we have engaged AuctionsPlus to run the sale in conjunction with our agents but we are unsure if there will be a physical sale here at Feltrim. Due to the ever changing nature of Covid-19 and the restrictions that may be enforced it is looking more likely to be online only. We will certainly be providing pre inspections on the rams though so you can see them in the flesh. Do you have any thoughts on this? If restrictions allowed would you visit the farm for the sale? 16.01.2022 Well, what a success the sale was! 89 out of 100 rams sold to a top of $7,800 twice and a couple of $7,000 rams to follow! We are blown away. The average is up $164 from last year to $2,456. It was pretty funny watching the sale on the telly on the couch with Dad and George with commentary from the kids! Thank you for everyone for your support and kind words. It has been a massive few months.... time to celebrate .

11.01.2022 These two year old girls will have a new home next week! The Yanco Agricultural High School have bought thirty merino ewes to use in their agricultural program and I am super thrilled about it. The girls will enjoy the attention they will get from the students and I'm looking forward to hearing how they perform. We are currently sorting all the mobs ready for joining in December which is right around the corner. They are in very good condition and averaging close to 70kg! 11.01.2022 Here are some cracking lambs coming along! The top lambs are singles out of 2017 ewes. They are by Anderson 170390 and semen is available. He is sitting at 220 for Dual Purpose plus and 31.4 for YCFW. Below is a shy lamb out of 151007. They are plain, big and have great bums on them! We have had quite a steady stream of visitors through to look at the boys so if you'd like to make a time to come and have a look then now is your chance. 06.01.2022 This is the last mob of ewes and lambs to mother in these crappy yards! With a yard makeover happening very soon I am just a bit excited. We have almost finished marking for the year and we are stoked with the results. Our overall marking percentage is 118 which is awesome. The ewes were in tip top shape and have that extra fat and muscle to ensure they stay healthy throughout their pregnancy and lambing. Good work girls! 01.01.2022 The proof is in the pudding! Or sheep...... . A long time buyer of Toland rams sold these wethers last week on Auctions Plus. He received the top price for the day and was pretty chuffed. At only 14 months of age and over 50kgs they certainly met the demands for early maturing, well rounded carcass merinos. Congratulations!
