12.01.2022 If not now, then when? As our summer turns to Autumn (well, for us Aussies anyway) I’m dreaming of days spent here... reading by the pool, zipping around in tuk tuks, adventuring out to UNESCO heritage sites and enjoying massages, cooking demonstrations, sunset yoga as well as four course organic meals on the terrace. Only three months left until our Sri Lankan adventure begins and only one room left...... Travel to the country whose name is thought to be derived from the Tamil word ‘ilanku’, which means ‘to shine’ or ‘to glitter’ in June and escape the Southern Hemisphere winter blues. 09.01.2022 Well, what can I say?!? I’ve struggled to write this post before now as I think I’ve just had to process this whole situation and grieve. Can you believe it? Like many of you, I’m now homeschooling my 3 kids and supporting my hubby, who has his own finance business which will take a hit in this environment - so I’ve been trying to look after them, adapt to the realities of isolation (we’re currently day 16) and get my head around the fact that my retreat will have to be po...stponed... again. So although I’m disappointed that I won’t get to my happy place Sri Lanka in the near future and even more heartbroken to let my lovely lanka ladies down, I know that the most important thing for me to do right now is stay home, hug my healthy family and take each day as it comes. 08.01.2022 Weekends away with your soul sisters are the best... especially when they happen in Byron Bay. Despite coming home with no voice I’m feeling nourished by good food, long walks, ocean swims, daggy dancing and hysterical conversations. Love you yayas... If you feel like you need some time out from life, grab a bestie and join me at my Sri Lankan retreat from 19 -24 June 2020. 05.01.2022 We’re baaaaaccckkk!!! Wow! What an adventure... photos don’t do it justice. Surprisingly ok about being home and kids ready to go back to school (or is that just me?!?) Looking forward to putting the final touches on my Sri Lankan June retreat in the coming weeks - cant believe that in exactly 5 months today, we will be finishing up and driving back through the mountains to Colombo. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 1926. Loving this quote today. Travelling with three kids around Thailand and Malaysia for 5 weeks has involved lots of tickets. Planes, tuk tuks, speed boats and this long tail boat today... and just when I think I my consciousness can’t expand any ...more we arrive in paradise.
