Grown for its stem more than the leaves it’s a vegetable that is worth investigating. Grown by @sulynsgarden served here with Ishikura from @fatcarrotfarm and tropea from @heirloomtony . 18.01.2022 Seasoning with Worcestershire sauce has been a staple of country kitchens since It’s invention in the 19th century. Laden with spice and savour that only fermentation and ageing can yield. The McHugo’s version calls on the vast array of concoctions in various stages of ageing, portions were begun in the first weeks of operation, this has been sitting and waiting though not idly. Born from a time when Whitney and Tom had time to work in the kitchen together, it’s been beaten and cooked and left in the corner till it knows what is good for itself. A mixture of time and emotion, mackerel and tomatoes, plums and lots of spice. Our favourite botifarra, with mash and sauerkraut, greens and a drizzle of Hobart (Worcestershire ) sauce. 12.01.2022 McHugo’s Conveniences is a new addition to @tmchugos and was formed over the last six months when some innovation and positivity was needed. We have been gradually adding to the collection and thought it was time to let you all know what we are have been working on. Located in our Macquarie St entrance just opposite our takeaway window is a fridge full of some wonderful house-made treats - think jars of our ale mustard, chicken liver parfait, apple jelly, pork rillettes, oliv...es and much more. We also have plenty of locally made beverages to choose from @twometretall @williesmithscider @taylorandsmithdistillingco to take home with you If you’re after a special gift for someone or even for yourself, we have some recycled timber boards from @ned_wood + local linen tableware from @yolandazarins + beautiful pottery from @smallfiresstudio Next time you’re in, have a wander around. We are open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Friday from 12pm, and from 4pm on Saturdays. Takeaway is still available, our menu posted daily on our story @plantsarefriends_
