24.01.2022 Have you always wanted a butlers pantry but don’t have the space or money? Incorporating a hidden appliance cupboard behind pantry doors is a great alternative. Putting pocket doors on the pantry so that you can leave it open while your using it and shut it when people rock up at your house ... It’s the best of both worlds. Incorporating a feature colour in the internals and lighting will also make it appealing to the eye when open. 21.01.2022 Want to know an interesting fact about me? I don’t drink coffee or tea... I know right.. how do I stay awake during the day? ... When I find out I’ll let you know, cause it’s a miracle Because I wake up at 5am to start my other job at 6am, I struggle to eat breakfast that early. Most mornings I make myself a smoothie to fill me up and get me through to smoko! 08.01.2022 Want to know if I was stressed out designing our own home? Of course I was!! I put so much pressure on myself because I constantly had people saying to me ‘I can’t wait to see what your do with your home’ Cue anxiety ... I modelled our entire home on the program I used and literally stared at it every night making sure I loved it haha This home is an investment for us as we don’t know where we will be in the next 5 years. We designed the house to suit us in the moment, and our block (TIP: never pick a home design before you choose a block), meaning we didn’t go crazy on the finishes, we tried to keep it simple. Saving on some aspects, to do other features we loved. What I’ve learnt from our experience is you don’t have to have everything straight away. You can always add things down the track. I still haven’t found a dining table I like, so we currently eat on the floor in front of the lounge Our front and backyard is dirt and weeds, with some aesthetically pleasing (not) drainage pipes, waiting for the right time to do our landscaping Did you include everything in your build?
