Please be assured we are closely monitoring further State Government announcements regarding the easing of social restrictions and as we become clearer on these guidelines, we will make a decision on our re-opening and will communicate this to you as soon as possible. 18.01.2022 Heading to one of Australias amazing beaches for a picnic or a swim is a great outing or weekend idea now that restrictions have eased. Yet, while we may not always be swimming, its still important to remember what we have learnt about water safety! Here are some quick reminders for all of our swimmers out there.... If visiting the beach with children, ensure an adult is present at all times. If youre going for a swim on your own, learn about rips. The water may look calm, but rips can be hard to see! Ask a lifeguard if youre unsure. Remember to be sun smart. Even though the sky may not appear to be sunny, the UV rays can still be strong. And lastly, have fun! See more

15.01.2022 Understandably this has proved a confusing time for all with the staged release of restrictions and what this may mean for our local pools. Regarding Port Stephens Aquatic Centres, it is with tentative excitement that we can confirm the opening of Tilligerry Aquatic Centre this coming Monday 8th of June; this will be under social distancing guidelines allowing only 8 attendees at one time, to support this restriction a booking process is to come with 60 minute sessions broken... into 45minutes of aquatic time and 15 minutes exit time, no seating will be available inside the foyer area and only one bathroom will be available for use, it is asked that patrons arrive and exit in their swimwear to avoid congestion, all monetary transactions will be cashless. With the new wave of restrictions it is currently being determined as to the viability of reopening Lakeside Leisure Centre indoor pool, it can be confirmed that Lakeside outdoor pool has incurred a heating fault with a yet to be announced repair date. Tomaree Aquatic Centre will remain closed until late July to accommodate scheduled shutdown period. We appreciate your patience during this period.

Go for a walk - Walking is a great low impact way to allow your body to move. Try and schedule in a 30-minute walk each day at lunchtime or before or after work. 5.
