24.01.2022 Mostly I post the pretty pictures on here - concept sketches, models, finished buildings - but there's lots of interesting stuff going on in between. IWC Stage 2 is well and truly underway, and there's plenty happening on site.

19.01.2022 Congratulations to CLS on this exciting social enterprise project at Stockland Bundaberg. It's was a pleasure to have provided the design for this fitout, and the outcome is a credit to everyone involved.

15.01.2022 "I never dreamed about success, I worked for it." -- Estee Lauder We had the pleasure of photographing this amazing new office and camp kitchen area that Bundab...erg Constructions recently completed for the Bundaberg Regional Council. It is always great to capture different things everyday. Check out the Grillex Bbq's that look awesome. Designed by Tomas O'Malley Architect See more

15.01.2022 As always, it's been a pleasure working with Murchie Constructions on this project, and they've done a great job with the building particularly considering the challenges everyone is dealing with at the moment.

14.01.2022 Kepnock State High School's new Multi-Purpose Hall built as a design and construct project by Murchie Constructions in conjunction with Tomas O'Malley | Architect. Photos by Paul Beutel Photography. We hope Kepnock State High enjoys their new facility

14.01.2022 Went to see a finished project today - designed, documented and built in 9mths, and really pleased with the results.

13.01.2022 Office fitout for Auswide Bank

13.01.2022 Had a great morning on site today. This is one of those projects that just "feels good": great clients, great builders, great site - and the first concept sketch was done less than 5 months ago, so the progress has been rapid to say the least!

12.01.2022 Photos of my Eidsvold House project now up on Houzz https://www.houzz.com.au/projects/2883424/eidsvold-house

12.01.2022 Watara Homes Constructions, the builder for our recently completed interiors project at Chapel Hill in Brisbane has put together this great video of the finished product. Mitch and his team were fantastic to work with and really put in the extra effort to ensure the smallest details were looked after.

11.01.2022 If you're in Bundaberg on Friday and interested in urban policy, council are putting on a free event at the Moncrieff with speaker Edward Blakely.

11.01.2022 New family home completed early 2018. The approach to the exterior architecture was inspired by the restrained form and materials of mid-century Queensland architects such as Hayes & Scott, while the interior incorporates significant double height spaces that are both uplifting and practical, providing improved airflow through the relatively large home. 08.01.2022 Such a loss to Queensland architecture - Jim Birrell was responsible for some of the best and most significant architecture in Qld (including Union College where I lived for a year).

07.01.2022 Just lodged for DA today - it's going to attract attention as the first major development in Bargara for close to a decade, but I'm happy with the overall proposal. Now we wait...

05.01.2022 Thanks to Murchie Constructions for the great work and attention to detail!

04.01.2022 Was pleasantly surprised for Bundaberg to feature in one of the presentations today at the National Architecture Conference - James Grose of BVN talked about how the "vernacular agrarian shed" he remembers from his childhood in Bundaberg informed some of the internationally awarded projects he now leads. #bundyrepresent

04.01.2022 This is such a good idea.

01.01.2022 Just received development approval this morning for a new boutique apartment building in the Bundaberg CBD. Eight full-floor apartments with views of the Burnett River, and a small commercial tenancy fronting Quay Street.

01.01.2022 New fitout project for Bundaberg Regional Council - 2 floors of commercial office space, including services upgrades, with additional refurbishment works in the main council administration building currently underway. In association with AECOM.

01.01.2022 Great job by Murchie Constructions - it was a tight timeframe to get the design work done and on site, and the quality in the finished product is a credit to them and their subbies. Looking forward to seeing the Multi-purpose Hall finished now!
